Any word if massage places are set to open next week? I've seen a few adds on the GS and I heard RMT's are going to open.

Spas and non medical massage is listed under phase 3. The guidlines say june to sept for that phase. I think they have to set up some countermeasures before they can open

Noticed that many of the "regulars on LL are back advertising and open for biz. Anyone tried? Wondering if the providers are wearing masks, asking clients to wear masks and/or other PPE?

just wait for the second wave to hit and then it will all be shutdown again. Then some stuff will never re open and alot of the ladies will be hurtin for cash. That's when rates will finally get back to where they should be. None of this 300 hr bs anymore.

If anything rates will go up. Rates are not coming down, forget it.

All businesses are subject to inflation. Each year a dollar is worth less. Advertising and rent costs go up, etc. Way of the world.

There’s no cure yet. Reopening will just put all this stay home shit down the drain and in vain.

If you really think stay at home will cause this virus to die out I think you are sadly mistaken. It will not go away until we have either heard immunity or a vaccine. It only takes one case to survive to cause this to all start up again if we can be infected

Im not saying rates should or will go down, but it’s possible. Who knows how long or how bad this thing gets. A real estate crash plus long term mass unemployment , especially in the hospitality/service industry for instance, could shake things up. Lower fixed costs, less spending money, and possibly(I’d bet the farm on it)more SPs...who knows.

Yup. Simple law of supply and demand. Lower demand due to fear of contracting the virus from providers plus an increase of providers due to job losses in other sectors will translate to lower rates. Some agencies may go out of business and independents will prevail. Good for them and affordable services for us...good news!

Everyone has their own opinion. Opinions are biased. Obviously pooners want rates to go down so they can afford other things. Handlers and agencies and SP's want rates to go up so they can make more.

Sp's are free to charge whatever they like and pooners are free to choose to poon or not.

I used to see at least 20 girls on AF ready to go in a few different cities. I see 4 available now. IMO, demand is down.
i would like to “like” this
fewer guarantees of personal income
greater risk of infection and transmission
declining disposable income

That just means there is less supply. Of course most girls are not working due to the current situation. Demand is still high. This is exactly the reason that demand is at such an high rate, there is a limited supply in the market.

I don't know of anyone that is hurting for clients. Just the opposite.

Site note: advertising costs (leo) have increased 120% over the last year. I really don't see anyone in their right mind lowering rates.

Every SP I’ve talked to or observed on Twitter says they’ve had guys banging down the door. Lots of lonely dudes that need some affection (PLENTY of demand) and a lot of girls who aren’t working to respect social distancing or are only seeing regulars at most (much reduced supply) and you can see the result: rates have gone UP not down.

Asian Fever is right, Charles Beckett is right....and let’s be honest, guys can’t keep their dicks in their pants, so the demand will always be there. Who knows what the future will hold, but over the next couple months I think you’ll continue to see ladies who are retuning to work coming back with higher rates than pre-lockdown.

At the end of the day the market will decide so a lot of this discussion is moot. Supply and demand and all of that, but if I were to hazard a guess I would say that in a prolonged recession/depression that all but the 5% will have disposable income to throw around.

AF is reporting his/her experience with the market and that is a snapshot in time and not necessarily a predictor of the future. If there is a prolonged recession/depression I would concur with NewB that more job losses = more new SPs getting into the industry to make ends meet = more supply. Again, this is all speculation and the laundry will be the laundry. That being said, I don’t wish for SPs to make a cent less that what they feel they’re worth, and to me +- $20 is not a dealbreaker, but at the end of the day what I think and what an SP thinks she is worth will be at the mercy of the market.

There is this little thing called liquidity. If our fearless leader was not throwing money to everyone, and there was no work and all the bills were due, that is called a liquidity crisis. No money for anything, not rent not food. Just wait till CERB runs out! If you think I am nuts, check out Goldman Sachs. They just set aside 8 billlion USD from profits for bad loans next year alone. The only thing that will be more expensive next year is rent, as people send the house keys to the bank and look for rental accommodations. If you think that i s not real, check out the Province of Newfoundland. No one in the whole financial world would buy their last bond offer at even 10 percent interest per year. So the Bank of Canada printed the money and bought them. Sound like the 1930's recession? Could be. Hope not

Pretty much this. SP's can charge whatever they want. If it's too much for me, I just poon less, but I would never bitch at an SP charging more. If she can make more money, why not.
