agree. this italian mafia bafoon should stick to screwing people on land deals and leave the hockey to people who have actual expertise in the game.
Disagree. When Linden was hired, I was like wtf? What qualifies a person to be a President or a GM? Players don’t necessarily have the skills needed to Lead a transformation. And if they don’t align with the Owner’s vision, then they are eventually gonna go. Popular as a player or not. The results and pace and approach was way to weak imho.

I have tuned out more than I want to as a fan because I just don’t get what the Canucks are trying to do, and what results we should expect. Presidents are accountable for that, ex-players or not.

Linden was a PR hire in order to retain as many season ticket holders as possible at the time he was hired. Since it seems to have had little to no effect on season ticket sales, they felt no need to keep him there. Benning didn't do him any favours with the inept job he is doing either.

The beautiful Fraser Valley !

I would have to agree with this View .

I don't even think Trevor, was really seeking, this Job ?
But, got enticed into It, by some sense of obligation ?

He's an old Farm Boy, at Heart !
Those Values, die hard ?

He's probably breathing, a sense of Relief ?

He can move on with his Life, out of the public Limelight !

Just my 2Cents...

Cheers

P.S. Not sure, how Trevor could stay involved with the Canucks moving forward as suggested, given the current Circumstances ?

Is Trevor, the most popular Canuck, in the Team's history ?

It's Aquilini's money so he can do what he wants but I think a press conference to announce this would have been a classier thing to do. It was a nice statement from Linden and nice tweets from Aquilini about Linden but c'mon. Linden was the face of the franchise for a long time and one of the fan favourites. To not have a press conference says little about Aquilini. Was he afraid of taking questions from the press? SO many questions about the timing of this move that the speculation from the gossip mongers on sports radio will keep up the negative press for a long long time.

It would be nice if Canucks owner Aquilini would step aside and let hockey people do what they are paid to do.

No matter what people think about Linden and Benning, the biggest problem with the Canucks is this hands on owner.

I agree. Whatever was going on, it was probably a dispute over which players to keep (or draft) and which to ditch.

Time will tell whether this Quinn Hughes thing it was the last straw, and whether it was a wise choice or another Canucks draft bust.

I think people forget he was the main rep of the NHLPA for a while. Went up against GM's and owners in plenty of negotiations.
