Perb is probably not even the right forum for this, as it advertises, reviews and discusses girls and places that provide extra services, be it R and T, BJ, or FS as well as a few fetishes. The question is where are the legitimate massage establishments in Vancouver reviewed, and where do they advertise?
before Craig’s list erotic was removed (bad idea by those do gooders) that was the place where all establishments and woman offering extra services advertised. that left Craig’s list therapeutic for massage and the like. Now I am past my prime so actually enjoy a good massage, without having to tip. don’t get me wrong, I also I also enjoy a good R & T and from time to time FS. I do want to know where to go when just a reasonable massage is required and where to go when more is desired.
yes there is now esrslist and many more for erotic services. but Craig’s list therapeutic has lost its purity. Most of the advertises actually offer FS. (heaven forbid) I now need to call on average 10 ads advertising massage before I can find one that actually offers massage. They just use the word in the ad to pass censorship and the tenth one usually offers R & T with an expectation you will take the T as that is where they earn their money. And usually if R & T, the quality massage gets lost in the translation.
There are many amp's (Asian massage parlors) as they are called. Just read the Georgia Straight. Almost all offer FS and the massages are laughable, if you turn them down on the T they expect a generous tip anyway as most girls work on commission. The Amp collects the massage fee as a room fee, the girls gets a tip from the client.
There are many so called "legitimate spa's", which are apparently not to be reviewed. Why? What they do is such a secret? I have been to many of these in search of the elusive massage. They “almost” all (shocking) offer extras and most expect you to partake. The girls get a small room fee, from $10 up to 50% of the room fee. Some do not require the girls to do extras, but most expect their girls to do extras for the tips are the bulk of their remuneration. Many that I have been to, forbid the girls from doing FS, under penalty of termination, but it is rare indeed to find one that fires a girl who does a Hj. (Of course you know that every named spa will be one of the few that does not offer)
I know a few managers of these places and enjoy their massages as often a manager will do massage only. They tell me it is almost impossible to hire or keep any girls without the promise of customer tips.
I travelled recently to central America and had 5 massages from 5 different ladies. Not one would provide any extras. Yet the wages there are a pittance. So why is Vancouver so different
But not all is lost. I at least found a legitimate place with good skilled massage and no extras offered or allowed. A friend recently gave me a gift certificate for a massage from new wellness centre that had opened. The friend assumed extras would be offered and suggested I pay my own tip. I chose the manager and had an excellent massage with no offer of extra. The manager admitted that the word massage has almost become a dirty word in Vancouver as the public associated it with sex rather than health. I was however assured they are wanting to build a reputation and will not allow any employee to provide extra on threat of termination.
