I had the pleasure of meeting Lauren this afternoon. She has been well reviewed and it is not necessary for me to add to her glowing reports. During our time together she mentioned that she is going in two weeks for breast augmentation. I discouraged her as much as possible and hope you guys will join me in doing so. Lauren, you are a perfectly beautiful woman. You have the kind of breasts women should aspire to have, rather than to change. You said this is not for clients but for yourself. OK so that is predicated on your perception of yourself. And where do women gain this perspective? From magazines, ads and hype about what a perfect body is. We see airbrushed, photoshopped images that do not reflect reality and are asked to accept that. I for one refuse to do so. The female form is beautiful in all its incarnations, and I for one prefer to enjoy what is real and natural to "manmade" Add to this the risks involved in elective surgery such as this, such as loss of sensation, unevenness, and possibility of not being able to breastfeed. I am sure the plastic surgeons are supportive as they will cut you up as much as you want for the $ they get. So again , more men telling women they are inadequate if not overly endowed. I am sure some guys will have a differing opinion, and of course its her body and her decision, I am just greatly opposed to seeing women go through this unneccessary surgery to appease mens desires when a lot of us find naturalness more desireable.
Please join me in encouraging Lauren to stay as perfect as she is already.
