Jason King is a rookie, but the list you posted Hipster takes great care to note that; any player that appeared even once in a NHL game before this season was ineligible for consideration for this list.

I believe King played a couple of games for the Canucks last season. While still eligible to be considered a rookie for rookie of the year balloting, he is ineligible for this list.
