Ack!! When I posted my Retirement Notice before the HDD crash, I lamented that the very drug that saved me from cancer had also castrated me chemically. This is what it was designed to do. When or if the man recovers a sex life varies. My last shot of Lupron was in June. The cancer has gone. Some of the effects of the drug will last for years. I console myself with the notion that the treatment has bought me time that I would not otherwise have had, and review the memories of the beautiful, sweet ladies that shared their time with me. My reviews are in the PERB archives, and I stand behind every word. As for being on Injured Reserve, I was optimistic. I may be a much older perbert when I get back to the hobby. In the meantime, folks, keep on rocking!

Having fought with the big C myself, I am sad to hear your story. I got off lucky and only had the slice and dice of one of the "boys" everything still works, but with some loss of esthetics. There are some hard days, I don't think I could go through what you did. Strength to you.

Best of the best to you! As I'm sure you've figured out, missing out on a few hours here & there of lovely ladies is a small price to pay for many more hours with family & friends. And when you're sick of them, ;-) there's so many trails to hike/bike/run, water to paddle, beaches to camp, you'll enjoy every minute. I'm certainly very grateful to be living in this slice of the world and if I face something like what you described, I would take the same option. Seeing an SP is like whipped cream or even the cherry - there's still some pretty incredible ice cream sundae underneath to enjoy!
