iso files?

Okay, So I downloaded a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 Pro.
It is an .iso file.
I don't know how to go about opening them and loading it on my hard drive.

I have a copy of Nero 7. I think these are files from a CD. I am not sure.

Is there a program I need to get to open these files?

Let me know please.

Also If anyone has a copy of Office 2003 Pro I can Buy, borrow or whatever
pm me.

Bad user. Software piracy is not legal.

That being said a .iso is a CD image. Nero can burn it.

Look for "Burn Image to Disk" in one of the menus.

Then when it asks you to choose an image, change the File Type to:
Image Files: *.iso, *.nrg, *.cue

And burn away.

I had shit luck with Nero 7. Bad formats on DVD-rw's, crashing, etc.... Went back to Nero 6 and all is good.

Bt the way I run MS Office 12, but it's only beta.

Alcohol 120% is also good for burning image files. Plus you can mount it on a virtual drive so you don't waste a CD if it sucks or is a fake.

Once you get the hang of downloading and image files, all I can say is

Fukk man the last OS I bought was Dos 6.

OK....I'm a little confused....once you burn the iso file to CD how do you execute/unpack it so you can run the set up

.iso is usually an image of the original disk
sometimes, it might contain some additional programs/utilities

and.. I'm sure .. the original poster will use downloaded files as a BACKUP of the original disk he recently missplaced.

I"m surprised no one has mentioned Daemon-Tools yet.

No burning necessary. Just "mount" the image into a virtual drive and voila, it will be like autorun as if an actual CD was placed in your optical drive.

Daemon Tools works great. I think ISOBuster is another tool that can be used to read those kinds of files...
