you discover that an sp has an SO? Or if they post about it? I've been struggling with this for awhile but honestly I think it affects my decision making process about whom to see or not see. I'm sure a large percentage of the ladies are in some sort of relationship but I don't want to know about it. Asshole? Bastard? Prick? Fooling myself? Did I think these girls were saving themselves for me only, or us? Of course not, but I can't help feeling a little bit turned off when this information comes to light in one form or another. Am I alone on this?

Keyhole if for any reason you find your self not enjoying your session to 100% then bail and find a different SP.

For us johns taking out SP's is by no means a game of picking the best of the worst.

But it does sorta ruin the fantasy knowing that she has a SO. But don't forget we humans can love more than one thing/person at the same time. Maybe you'll still be able to steal her away.

Well I dont' have an SO.... but a large percentage of my clients do.... should that turn me off as well?

It doesn't..but I don't mind hearing about it neither... it sort of gives light to why they choose to see an SP, instead of/as well as their wife or girlfriend.

Well said Bobbi. Kehoe, if it seems to bother you, just don't ask.

I don't ask, it just comes to light in one way or another , usually here on the board. Bobbi, of course it doesn't matter to you, you're not the client. We're a means to an end for you. I don't mean that in a rude way and I don't begrudge your opinion, but obviously many if not most of the guys here have SO's, it's a big reason why they're here in the first place.

Touche, bobbivan, however, being with an sp is like going to a movie (no not porn...oh, maybe porn), you want to lose yourself in the fantasy and not be distracted by any jolts of reality like fakeness or disruptions...eruptions on the other hand...

Interesting thread.
I have very limitted experience with SPs but it seems to me the ones without an SO may feel more comfortable enjoying themselves and really getting into it and getting off etc. Girls that are prepared to let go and have fun too are the best, SO or no. Perhaps a little less detached and mechanical.
Then again, clearly some are better actresses than others.
I don't make a point to ask if there is an SO in the picture but sometimes it comes up.

i think that similar to any other thing in this world, presentation has a big impact on acceptance:

an sp who rants or bitches about her SO is not presenting a good impression of herself ... and one who gushes about how great her SO is demonstrates a bit of insensitivity and tactlessness.

some sp's use the SO card to prevent clients from forming attachments ... sort of like people who wear wedding rings but aren't married.

imho, i don't necessarily need or want to hear about an sp's personal life because it is personal ... if she wants to share, that's nice too, but i often wonder why they do it ... especially since:

the things that sp's have told me!!!!

and NO! I won't share any of it ...

Me too. I am single or call me divorced. I am not saying how ethical I am as a person. If a sp told me she has a SO ,I will feel as if I am having an adultery with her. That would be my last visit with her!I usually only visit single girls!

There was one girl I wanted to visit sometimes ago. However someone informed me that particular girl actually has a family,i.e. a husband and a son. It put me off completely!

interesting responses, thx for the input. Lately I've been thinking about many aspects of "the hobby" and am wondering if I'm at a crossroads with it all. I know I don't have the wide eyed interest that I used to and I get less excited now at the prospect of a new experience. I tend now to stay with the ladies I know and the ones with which I've had numerous good times with. Maybe I'm just overthinking things. Oh well, it's nothing a couple of glasses of Tito's won't cure...

Hey kehoe buddy, don't take it so seriously. Enjoy life as it comes. We all have reasons why we do things and overanalysing it just causes you to buy case loads of pepto bismal. If you enjoy it and causes no harm have at her. If you're having a moral crisis don't do it.

Just enjoy life and all that you come in contact with.

Very interesting thread....

We're all here for different reasons(and I am learning there are many!), some guys may like the "White Knight" fantasy, and others could give a rats ass(or squirrel's<<<<-(inside joke)).

If you were single and wanted that to be part of the fantasy, then i guess you would be put off by the truth.

I think each SP would have to try and figure out what each client is looking for and i guess the better ones are quicker at figuring that out(if they wanted some repeat business, i guess)....If a guy wants/needs "the fantasy" give him that.....(but oh my that's a slippery slope)

So, hypothetically, of course, if I ask for something(tell you), try not to assume I want or need something else, especially if it's contradictory to the 1st need....but that's just me

but isnt it all the same? whether or not a girl has a SO- she is still doing other people ....i'm referring to her clients.

shari

It may or may not be the same to the client, if he has dreams(fantasy) of running away with you (as part of the fantasy), and that could be dangerous for everyone emotionally....

It doesn't make a difference to me that I am aware of... I don't want to sit and listen to how rotten he is, nor do I want to listen to how wonderful he ( or she! You never know *lol* ) is, especially if we are, er, in the middle of something :)

But otherwise I don't mind knowing a bit about the person I'm being physically intimate with. In fact I generally prefer to know something about the lady, since I prefer to sleep with someone I see as an actual human being.
I could not have said it better myself. But again, every one is in this for different things.

I'm firmly in the "prefer not to know about the SO" camp. But I've only encountered this rarely. And more importantly, my reaction depends on the lady, her situation and when it's brought up.

One SP mentioned her bodybuilding fiancee a couple of times when I was with her, and I had to let that pass from one ear out the other lest it killed my mood for the session. I mean, one thing I don't want is for her to openly compare me with her BF's muscular body. On the other hand, a couple of out-of-town SPs were frequent visitors to Edmonton because they had SOs here, so I was more understanding of their positions.

For the most part, the SPs I've seen are single and unattached because of the very nature of their line of work. Most guys don't want girlfriends who share themselves with other guys. And the ones that do hook up with someone end up retiring from the business for that same reason.

Porn producers obviously feel similarly about their femal porn stars in that they feel it is okay to be married, they just don't need to advertise it.

Anyone who cares to pay attention (or more precisely divert their attention away from the real action) will notice how often they will see a porn girl with no ring on her wedding finger, but a massive diamond on her middle or index finger.

I guess it's all about the marketing of the fantasy...
