A book just came to mind that I must recommend. Now I am not usually one for novelizations but I ended up reading this one because of the 'fantasy' label and I must say I was VERY pleasantly surprised. It greatly expands upon the story and the characters are much more real and alive. I have found the movie now to be pale in comparison to the book itself. There are now 3 additional books in the series.
The book is Willow by Wayland Drew. Enjoy.
