At times it can be better than online dating where you spend $100+ on a date and you get a half assed hug at the end and a not interested text two days later.
I think the once per pay period is a good rule to live by.
I will admit I have not been able to live by it though. This winter I went bonkers a bit, boredom and escape from winter blues.
Going to try and hold it together in spring and summer but Jesus thats even harder with ladies wearing less when they are out.
Try and get a GF but thats not easy in this part of the world. Way more dudes than ladies. Maybe I should move to NYC.

The reason why I posted that is because I was looking at my books and I decided to figure out how much I spent on talent in 2022. It’s impressive, shocking or embarrassing, depending on how you look at this. I’m leaning toward the latter two. I thought 2019 was bad, 2022 was double. I wont say how much I spent but it was obscene. So, my post was a knee jerk reaction that may or may not be legit.
I’m keeping my dates this week, and then I’ll re-evaluate. At best, I’m severely cutting back or I may ride off into the sunset later on this week. I enjoy reading every else’s experiences and it’s fun getting a feel for some of your personalities. I’ve been here for almost thirteen years now. Jesus that’s a long goddamned time, so leaving probably isn’t a bad idea. Regardless, it’s been fun. Maybe I’ll write a final “how to” guide to have the best chance of fun

There are guys who come and go. Some do return from time to time but not many stay active for very long. It's good to get it out of your system but in the end you gotta make sure your finances are good and you're not blowing everything into this.

I've done the math and this hobby is still more efficient (read: price per event) than supporting a wife/GF/SO. The familiarity/consistency of being in a relationship has its adantages, but the C/B ratio doesn't pencil (if that's the metric).
