How Reach Fred Zed?

The terb sister site had a database error a few weeks ago and I can't log in, and Fred's router5.com contact address fails saying RCPT error.. The sending e-mail for pw reset doesn't send me anything either. Maybe others have same problem. Hope all is well with Fred!

I can log in fine here on Perb (my decade ago Victioria/Vancouver vistts posted alot etc) and here Fred's contact address is via privacyport.com which also fails.

For the last decade+ have been very active on Terb for my Toronto/Niagara Falls trips.

I'm a very old timer, active in Freds board with funny name I forget before there was Terb/Merb/Perb.

Planning next Toronto trip and value Terb (and have over 16,000 posts)

BTW high to any old friends from long ago here on Perb !!

Do you have any e-mails for TERB mods? I can't log in to TERB so I can't send anyone messages. I use to know a few but years ago.

No, I got the e-mail to work accepted on his server. Also PM'd him. No response.

A moderator also tried to contact a week or so ago and says not replied.

Hope nothing has happened to him. And there is someone else that can solve database problem that he did post about on TERB early January. I have over 16,000 posts on TERB and lots of followers for my trip reports so don't want to have to start over. When he had his prior pre-ERBS board in the 90's (forgot funny name) I thought he was older then so am concerned he is ok. We all are older than in the 90s!

I wonder if the problem is I still have a 4 digit pw that has worked since the board was started.... Maybe updated database wants longer passwords. But the send me an e-mail for pw reset doesn't send me an e-mail either.

I checked the MERB board which I haven't been on since about 2007 and Fred posted same database problem there in early January but I can log in fine. Only TERB is a problem for me.

Update. I got back on fine after got e-mail to reset was blocked as spam - but now terb is down due to Cloudflare issue.

Longer details:
I am back on except terb just went down (which is why I checked here) It seems to be on cloudflare servers which in the media with their spitting out confidential info on Uber, OK Cupid, and Fitbit, among thousands of others. Terb now goes to the cloudflare catch. Hopefully very short term.

Re: the prior access problem. Fred's account wasn't answered much since his estate owned it and issue with heirs. But the big problem was when I tried many times to get a pw resent the e-mail adderss tcc@terb.cc was on many spam lists and blocked by my webhost. The e-mail was improperly configued with the HELO command of localhost which violates various rules since anyone can hack it without a proper HELO command. After I got back on Terb I posted about this trying to alert whoever is sys admin but it was deleted. However, I have been in and posting up to an hour or so ago when the host Cloudflare went down. sigh...

UPDATE: Terb is now back up. Cloundflare probably rebooted or installed a software update

A thought, and only my opinion....how about keeping the "Fred Zed" handle alive, out of respect and in memory of Fred. Whoever takes over his role can just use that handle.

I would retire it out of respect. It's too odd to use someone's else's handle when they're a member. A memorandum for Fred would be much more respectful. We should have new handles for the new leadership so we can address everyone correctly.

It's been a bit creepy watching the 'Fred Zed' handle post about organizing an annual tribute to himself on terb, so I hope whoever is taking over gets a new handle. We can retire his handle with honours, like they hang jerseys of retired professional athletes.
