Hi,

A few days ago a handler texted me "hi" out of the blue ( I did text this handler a day or 2 before trying to book an appointment), did this happen to any one else? Luckily I was by myself at the moment, I didn't respond and quickly deleted the text. I am not saying which handler simply because it might be a one time thing or done by mistake which I can forgive. However, if it's done for the purpose of sociliting for clients, then it is absolutely actrocious and we should all avoid this handler.

What exactly are you asking for "everyone [to] chime in"?

Block handler and be done with.

This has been discussed before, but if you’re worried about getting busted get a burner phone. Way cheaper than getting caught.

/\ This is cardinal. Whether it’s a text app or burner phone/sim, it’s just plain careless not to insulate yourself from this type of transgression for $10-$20/month.

I keep one or two messages that say "thank you" or "ok" from that number and put that chat on silent. You can do this to individual chat on smartphones.

I hate receiving soliciting texts from providers. If we're friends and just chatting it's one thing but telling me they're available or in town as promotion when I didn't request updates like that irritates me.

Happens to me all the time. I never use my primary phone. It's too risky. I've also received messages by mistake from a handler or sp, intended for someone else. Too much at stake. Burner phone / phone app is a must in this hobby.

i must've texted hundreds, if not over 1000, phone numbers by now. i've only received unsolicited texts a small handful of times. it doesn't happen often, but if it happens at the wrong time it can be catastrophic. even with a burner phone i tend to avoid micros that send unsolicited texts

use your last phone, get it unlocked, and switch to a pay as you go plan with Speakout by 711

I receive texts from my car dealer, my doctor's office and others I have done business with, so wondering what the big deal is with getting a text from a service provider. Not sure why this should be an issue if you actively book services of this nature. Are you nervous that you are doing something wrong?

Clearly you don’t have a wife/SO that might notice what’s coming through on your phone.

There should be a post listing spots that send unsolicited texts. That is really crossing the line. It could easily end relationships and marriages. For some guys that could mean millions in a divorce. Serious stuff.
Just to go off on a slight tangent... I do enjoy the pooner life, as I'm single. That said, of course I want to settle down, eventually. The trouble is that I don't know if I can stop this!!

Clearly guys who proclaim to be in a monogamous relationship should practice monogamy, rather than worry about their significant other finding out that their partner is a cheating on them. Probably she is cheating on you too. Drop your guilt my friend and enjoy life. I am happily married and we see each other about six times a year.

Only received unsolicited texts from one lady, but it was not incriminating at all.
We had hit it off and talked a lot after the session. When I got the text it was like it was from a friend. Mostly to let me know she had moved. Text was something along the lines of " Hi (first name) just wanted to let you know i've moved to X but i've kept this number."

You only see your wife six times a year? That doesn’t sound like a marriage.

With the amount of spam that goes around, just treat as such even if someone else sees it.

burner or whatsApp, no way do you ever use the same personal phone, A La Tiger Woods.
i’m guessing by your join date that this might be a good SP “tech” lesson.

if you are worried block when you are offline or use a burner but to tell you the truth I am open to the handler reaching out they are cool with a hi and wait for your response so pretty discreet on the flip side I get a heads up on newbies, first appointments etc of girls they think I would be interested in and I tell you its a great trade off and has led to some amazing experiences.... to each his own but you asked for us to chime in.
