#1 shave only in the direction the hair grows, usually down. (Never shave against the grain to get a closer shave, the skin grows over the folicle and the hair will be trapped when it does grow in.)

#2 use an exfoliant, whether it is a scrub or a luffah periodically.

Not much you can do now that it's too late but #2 will help a bit.

ouch .. thats not a usual place for ingrowns..

dont pick they get infected .. I mean they get worse.. try to get hair out, if you cant withing 1 or 2 squezzes to not irritate more and put extra strength Polysporne on , it will act as an oinment/get to reduce irritation, itcheness, and will allow "bump" part to reduce and ingrown hair to pop out
