This is a pretty serious matter and even though I did my research here when it comes to SPs I see, I still contracted this STI.

I never see civilians, so I can guarantee this was from an SP. I don't poon very often and this makes it even more likely it was from the SP.

I NEVER do BBFS (maybe if an asteroid hits Earth) so this either was caused by BBBJ, DATY or Kissing.

Well antibiotics at least are doing their job. Luckily I didn't get that antibiotic resistant strain. That would've sucked.

Play safe everyone.

Oh yes. Burning sensation when peeing, etc. Urine test mainly, the doctor asked me to take blood tests as well.....just in case.

So far nothing. No news is good news.

To me it's quite a lame inconsequential matter. I've had Chlamydia twice & it was nothing.

If you saw civilians & never saw SP's you could have got it sooner, or something actually worth posting about.

I do. I practice safe BBFS all the time.

Yeah, health is so overrated and std's are really just a myth.

Hate to break it to you, but you CANT get the clap from kissing some one:doh:

I'm in university for health science, and this is true.

Sex is messy, and fluids get everywhere. If her fluids were all over the base of your shaft and balls, and then you took the condom off and stroked your cock as you ejaculated you could have gotten it that way.

...but 100% you can NOT get it from kissing. Sorry.

The mouth is extremely acidic in PH, so transmission rates are EXTREMELY low/almost non-existent from vaginal to mouth. It is much more likely fluids entered via the penis or anus. You could have gotten her "wetness" near your anus, and been infected that way, or had it on the base of your shaft and moved it physically towards the glans yourself.

Either way, just another reason for CBJ's.

"While transmission of gonorrhea from a penis to a mouth has been well documented, researchers aren’t quite sure how easy it is to transmit gonorrhea from a mouth to a urethra, vagina, or anus. Despite an unknown transmission rate, the fact remains that this mode of transmission is possible — therefore, during the time you have a pharyngeal gonorrhea infection, you can transmit the infection to your partner(s).

The good news about pharyngeal gonorrhea is that gonococci don’t seem very well suited to living in throats — they are much better adapted to the anus and genitals. A flurry of research on pharyngeal gonorrhea was performed in the 1970s and 1980s, when it was demonstrated that gonorrhea infections in the throat can clear up without medical intervention within three months — with possibly half of infections going away after just a week."

and another.

"Gonorrhea can be transmitted during vaginal and anal sex and, rarely, through oral sex. During oral sex on a penis, both people can give or get gonorrhea from each other. During oral sex on a vagina, the person giving oral sex would be more likely to be at risk for gonorrhea. Gonorrhea can be transmitted even if there are no signs or symptoms of infection. It can also be passed from an infected mother to her newborn during vaginal childbirth. It is not passed through casual contact."

It is very rare/undocumented how many men actually get Gonorrhea from receiving oral sex... it's much more likely that fluids got somewhere they shouldn't have.

Extremely acidic?... last time I checked 5.5 to 7 isn't considered extremely acidic. Might want to check the science before calling it out.

you know, so many comments on here should be being made by the health nurse, and aren't. Isn't it a bit risky to be taking advice from sources that aren't really reliable? And even at that there are exceptions to every rule. Diseases get passed around from intimate contact. Even if BBBJ doesn't pass on the big G, it does pass on other things. Like there is one called NGU, and frankly that can be very nasty too. Worse issues I ever had with a sore PeePee came from a quick BBBJ once twenty years ago. Since then I just don't let anyone do it. Has to be a special gal who there is some trust and experience with.

Likewise Daty can give you some nice issues, so yes, you need to be careful.

as some one said above if you get the fluid through any source into the wrong spot you are gong to have the disease. that is very logical, diseases live in fluids, get transmitted through that fluid so keep it away from your critical places.

Twenty years ago I used to see a gal who always gave me some issue. We used condoms of course, I took it off carefully, but always within a few days needed some antibiotic cream on my precious one. Finally reasoned it out. Never had a shower afterwards, so her liquids were all over my hair in that region. So put your underwear back on and it all gets rubbed around. Now the underwear is contaminated. That passes it on to your critical spot. Stopped seeing her, figured even with a condom it wasn't safe, but really a shower afterwards would have resolved the issue. so now even if a shower is not there, go and dry yourself off, and be careful not to pass it on to to other parts of the body.

Liquid control after the fact is pretty important. You see how gals will take off the condom and only hold it by one point, and get it out of their hands quickly. Well they know it could contain diseases, you need to realize they could too. It is just not STD's but all those other annoying issues too like yeasts, and other flora and fauna.

I doubt anyone is going to the perb for medical advice. Maybe when the health nurse was still here but other than that it would be risky.
You've got to think with your head and not with your dick, cause your dick is very shortsighted.

"Flora and fauna refer to plant and wildlife, respectively. The term is often used to refer to the indigenous plant and wildlife of a geographical region."
I had a one night stand with a very large, dreadlocked hippy girl and let me tell ya there was so much flora and fauna in her geographical region it could've given Jurassic Park a run for its money!

Plants, no, but bacteria, yes. Flora is the correct term:

' The micro-organisms that colonize the vagina, collectively referred to as the vaginal microbiota or vaginal microflora'
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaginal_flora

But, fauna is definitely not. Lol

Yeah, health is so overrated and std's are really just a myth.

STDs and STIs are not a myth.

Health is very important.

Being STI phobic or paranoid is unhealthy.

Stress kills. Sex is a stress reliever.

Stay STI free by becoming a good choir boy & see how your mental health is & how you enjoy life, if you can call that being alive.

What good is your "health" if you're one of the living dead. It's useless & a waste.

No, fauna and flora is defined much more widely than that. Basically it is the division between living things that move and ones that don't. Fauna can be microscopic in size, protozoa for example.

Thank you Tugela, and the fauna in this case can be lice. Don't you guys know that some people have lice in their pubic area. Little crawling biting things that make little red boils in your pubic area and jump to your mate and their pubic area. Any good drug store has a solution, over the counter quietly, for them.

Right on, lots of reasons to be careful

Hi blueberrymuffin

I am glad that you are feeling better.

Gonorrhea is one of those STI that most guys get symptoms of when it is in the penis, the only problem is that when someone has it in the mouth, vagina or rectum that it doesn’t usually have any symptoms.

It is also common that many clinics just do urine tests to check for gonorrhea so if it is in the throat or rectum it can get missed during a checkup. You would need to get a swab test from the throat and rectum to check for it there.

I see gonorrhea often in the clinic and the most likely way you got it was from the BBBJ it can be easily passed this way. It is possible with DATY and deep kissing but it is not a common way for it to pass.

Like people have said it usually clears up with no problem after taking the antibiotics.

It would also be good to let recent sexual partners know as they probably have no symptoms and feel fine. I know this can be difficult thing to do. We do have a website that people can use for BC to send anonymous e cards to let people know without giving their details, it’s called inSPOT. Here is a link to the service
http://www.bccdc.ca/SexualHealth/Programs/Inspot/default.htm

Here is also a link for more information on gonorrhea.

I hope people don’t mind me making a comment in the lounge.
