Are the flames going to win a game? I know they are a better home team but they are getting dominated in a way I don't recall seeing for a while.

23 shots for Detroit in the first period. Brutal

They were struggling at the end of the season, they should have clinched long before they did.
I wouldn't hold out much hope, unless Bertuzzi starts playing and the Curse of having him on your team kicks in. (see Turin Olympics) :D I think Detroit will fall, just not this round.

I hate to say it to the Flames fans on here, but, they're gone---out!
They may win a game or maybe 2 but for the whole series Calgary is out!
Detroit is just way to skilled and they are totally out playing the Flames.
Calgary to Detroit look like a bunch of Midgets playing in tootoo's LOL :D .
It's all Detroit! What was it in just 2 games 96 to 35 were the shots on goal in favor of Detroit!! There you go!

I used to support the Flames, as you can see from my avatar.

After the lockout I stopped watching hockey all together. I just can’t get myself so support an overpaid loser like Iginla.

They still have to win 3 more...
And most likely they will. However, it makes you wonder, why is it that the Wings play their 3rd game on the same night that the Canucks play their 4th game? I guess the NHL brass in all its "wisdom" decided that the had to give the "old guys" and extra day of rest.

flames looked great last night but unfortunately I think it will be a pretty difficult task for them to win in detroit. I think they will get the series to 6 and maybe even 7 but when detroit gets the last change they can shut down the Iggy line and the other lines are struggling to produce. Nice to be in the series though, great effort last night.

Flames are figuring out how to get it done now!

the Flames just needed a wake-up call, and to shake off that end of season slump.

They won their games at home to even up the series, and they looked even better than they did in game 3. They have Detroit second guessing themselves and taking dumb penalties ie Hasek tonight, the unsportsmanlike penalty he took while trying to draw a goaltender interference after Iginla contacted him in front of the goal. Flashback to March 20th anyone?

Good on Iginla for having a memory and knowing how to push Hasek's button :D

Now Detroit is reeling, Kiprusoff is looking stronger and cooler every game, and the Flames defense and offense both seem to have settled down are playing smart, aggressive, physical hockey and letting Detroit take the bulk of the penalties.

Despite his goal and assist tonight I still see Bertuzzi being a non-factor in the outcome of the series.

Flames take it in 6 back at the 'dome.

And after coming back after those first two terrible games and eliminating Detroit, they'll be rolling and who'll be able to stop 'em? The Flames are loaded with offensive and defensive talent, speed and strength, experience and youth and they have one of the best goaltenders in the world.

GO FLAMES GO!
