I'm looking for information on how I would go about and find information on a piece of property (located in Vancouver) that was sold in the early 1980's.

I have the address....the information that I'm looking for is the sale price. Can I track how many times this property has been sold and for how much? I would be looking for 1959 to 1985.

What would be the best avenue to track this down? Is this something I can do online or would I have to go through a government office? If so, which one?

Anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Your best bet would be to go to a realtor and ask him/her.....the BC branch of the C.R.E.A would have records on a modern computerized system about the history of the property most likely.....another option would be the Land Titles Office....as all properties weather they are bought outright for cash or have a mortgage must get registered when a new owner buys the property.....hope this helps.

They have this really cool service for that - it's called a realtor.

He/she could look it up in about 5 minutes.
