Has anyone paid by money order successfully? I don't want to divulge my real name so credit card and bank transfer are out.
I've never had a reply to my inquiries, so I'm a little nervous sending out a money order and not being able to contact them if months go by and there's no acknowledgement of my payment being received.

If you pay using e-mail transfer, the recipient will only see whatever named you've assigned to your e-mail address. So if you've got a work e-mail that doesn't use your real name, just send it using that one and your identity will be safe. Even if you don't have a work e-mail, you can edit the name that the recipient sees. I just checked on my CIBC account now and that was the case. If you use e-mail money transfer, the recipient never sees your name or banking information. They only see whatever name you allow them to see. They will have to successfully answer your security question though. For PERB this is simply the PERB password. Once the payment goes through, you will receive an e-mail confirming that the recipient has your money so there is a paper trail. In the highly unlikely event that PERB does not take your cash within 30 days, it gets credited back to you. As mentioned above, the fee is $60 per month.
