Eye surgery

I know this should prob be in the general forum. But in Winnipeg there seem to be two choices LASIK md or eye tech LASIK. Anyone have any experience good or bad with either one.

Just went to Lasik for the free consultation. Clean professional and when it was all done, they advised I was not a candidate for Laser repair because my problem cannot be corrected with the application available at this time.

All in all was satisifed 100% by their service.

I went to LASIK MD and had my eyes done four years ago. It was nice easy and fast. My eyes were done in the morning and by evening I was already able to see kinda clearly The next morning it was perfect. They left me with 23 20 vision. Which means what people can see clearly at twenty feet I can see clearly at 23 feet. Price was right at 2000 grand total. Keep in mind it depends on how bad your eyes are. I would recommend at least going to the free consultation. If I had to I would do it again in a heart beat.

Had my done, 8 or 10 years ago..., first couple of years, I felt my eyes were always dry.(could be lack of sleep)
Not the latest type of lasik they have now.
I think I still have 20/20.

Depends on your age too.
If you are older, age will catch up and eventually you will have to wear glasses again soon.
If you were in your 20 or 30, you should do it, since you will have to replace your glasses so many times over that lifetime. The cost of replacement would go into your Lasik and the added convenience of no glasses\contacts.

Not trying to be a joker or anything but... A comedian I seen on T.V. had one of the best lines I have ever heard about laser eye surgery. "If your thinking about getting laser eye surgery,don't it's a total ripoff. I had laser eye surgery 2 weeks ago, and I have yet to shoot lasers from my eye's".

Went to Eyetech Lasik 13 years ago, still 20/20 vision.

Went to Lasik MD about 5 or 6 yrs ago. I got what they called blended vision so I would not need to wear reading glasses. Best money I ever spent. Would do it again in a second. Zero pain, lotsa gain!
