I wrote this in response to BC_BABE/Electra's comment on the thread: "Saturday Night Selection - #sad"
She referred to "new hobbyists" in Victoria as increasingly disrespectful and interested in finding the cheapest rates. "Hobbyists" are only those that participate on review boards, which are a small percentage of SP clients. Most clients could care less about them - they are just participating in the world's oldest profession, one that has always and will always exist. There are people who equate seeing escorts to purchasing an object, and as such feel they can do with this object as they please. These are the "ugly males" to which "ddcanz" once referred on the Forum. They can be your doctors, lawyers or business executives, just as much as your blue collar workers. They can be your "loving" family men, just as much as your single loners. These are the garbage clients that some SP's, especially ones just starting out, feel like they have to endure to garner business - it catches up with them later. Experienced or Indy workers can weed them out and pick and choose, but this is not always possible with agency/parlour girls. Some clients just don't see escorts as legitimate service providers, like others in the service industry.
Based on escorts and strippers with whom I have spoken, Canadians are generally good, respectful clients. One stripper who works in Canada and the US told me that private dances are usually a breeze here (Van, AB, Toronto) but in a city like Miami, she has to continuously put customers in their place. Canada is also multicultural and would have people living in it whose cultures are steeped in misogyny. There are also Caucasians born in this country, who were raised to view women as objects. The clean cut guy in a suit shopping at Harry Rosen, with his wife and kids by his side, could have mistreated an escort just the day before.
I once came across an article/blog for Victoria about how to behave with SP's. It came out around summertime, possibly because of the large amounts of riff raff that descends upon this tourist city from around the world. These riff raff are going to want to satisfy certain needs - hence that article.
To escorts, especially agency girls, I say this: don't tolerate disrespect and aggression. If your boundaries are not respected, give a warning. If it's not heeded, send the client packing with no refund and have him blacklisted. He can't do anything about it. I know an agency like SU is very busy, and certainly busier around this time. I hope they are vigilant and protect their girls from bad clients. Some providers can switch off and service anything, while others are more sensitive and easily affected. When I see ladies disappear from a roster, I always wonder whether it was because of seeing a bad client.
