I don't know if it's just me but at work I find quite a few people that are 55 to 65 get more irritated, impatient and are not logical in their thinking. Even when I'm at the poker room at the casino, they get irritiable over the smallest things.

dood's mouth . . .

And your mouth is an example of what many "older folks" consider disrespectful and with a know-it-all attitude that they might find OFFENSIVE! They put up with you and YOUR "pimples." So how about a little respect and tolerance for those who helped set up the good life you are hopefully experiencing.

Easy on the eldery classification

I am soon 55, feel like 20 something so be careful what ages you call elderly. I am not disagreeing with the fact I may be more irritated, as can be attested to this post.

But if you call it irritable to respond to an insane statement like "elderly at 55 - 65", then I guess the logical thinking would be to say people under 55don't have any respect, have not experienced life and are the cause of all elderly reactions!

Think before you speak, it irritates the hell out of me, I am impatient when it comes to people such as yourself, the only logical thing to do is eliminate you and any of your friends with the same opinion!

So there.

How old is OLD? 55-65s can be young, some 30s can be old!

I don't know if it's just me but at work I find quite a few people that are 55 to 65 get more irritated, impatient and are not logical in their thinking. Even when I'm at the poker room at the casino, they get irritiable over the smallest things.
I disagree that there is an age thing here. Some people are simply irritable, cantankerous people.

I do not consider 55-65 elderly. Of course everyone has their own definitions, and at 55-65, the seniors discounts start applying but to me that is different from being elderly.

I have known people in their 30s who are OLD! They have little or no energy; their motivation and joy of life is minimal if at all; their physical abilities wane (not because of any physical impediment, but becase of inactivity.)

That is how I define "elderly."

I have known people in their 70s and even 90s who are YOUNG! These people have a zest for life, remain active in body and mind (as much as they can, which in some cases is better than the average 25 year old). These people are open-minded, motivated to learn and change with the times, and enjoy trying new things.

As for irritable, impatient and illogical people, I find those in all walks of life and in all age groups. I think all of us fall into that category at one time or another. Then again, some people are just generally grumpy and mean.

i love the old chinese women who frequent the casino and get mad when someone sits at an empty spot and "screws up" their order of luck.

When you sit down in that empty spot, and they speak cantonese, yes, they ARE complaining about you Lolx!!

Reminds me of using a slot machine last week.
Was there on a weeknight killing time, place over half empty.
Slot machines of the same kind empty all around me.
Some nasty old chinese lady comes up to me, and notices I haven't played for a minute or two

"you done now, you done, play or go home, I tell pitboss you no play, just sit"

Apparently I was at her favorite machine :D

in the dumpster behind YOUR place
I've met some old grumpy fellas in my time but I've also met some wickedly awesome & funny oldies that really know how to live it up. They make my life look plain and boring in comparison :D

Now that I think about it, most of the grumpy ones looked poor and bitter while the fun and happy ones were well off. Maybe the grumpy old ones are bitter about their dashed hopes and dreams? Or maybe them being grumpy and rude made them poor. Chicken or the egg problem I guess.
You have the greatest, most hypnotic GIF I have ever seen. I salute you, sir!
