just watched the news and it turns out that some fuckers at some construction site in victoria got their small dick jollies by drywalling a cat into the wall of some condo complex ...

the cat may have been in the wall for up to two weeks!

i hope they publish the construction site so i can drive over there and give some dickless wonder a two-by-four in the teeth!!!!

I ran over a cat the other night. When I looked back, it got up and walked back the way it came. Guess it only has eight lives left.

hey look, a volunteer to try out my new walking tall 2x4!!!

To be fair, it could have been an accident.

A tradesman who was at my house told me a very sad story about how a customer's cat was found in the crawl space, dead. They were getting new flooring, for whatever reason, the trap door was opened and the cat slipped down there unnoticed. The family assumed the cat had run away when the front door was open to bring in the new lino. A month later, the tradesman came back to fix a squeek, he found the cat.

Personally, I shut my cat in the attic without knowing it. I went up there to store some stuff, I guess he followed me up. When I was making a tuna sandwich an hour later, I noticed he wasn't underfoot, as per usual. Since he is totally indoor, I knew he was in the house somewhere. That's when it clicked that maybe he was up there. Sure enough. I lifted the hatch and there he was. I'm not certain I would have heard him crying.

which one? the cat in the wall story is on the front page of the t-c ... the story goes that tradespeople KNEW the cat was in the wall and did nothing about it!!!!

it wasn't until some guy told another guy and he told his wife that they went over there and punched holes in the walls to get the poor cat out again!

as for running anything over with my car -- never done it! i don't drive with my head up my ass so i don't run animals, birds, or people over!

Hey 50, in Australia, cars have Roo Bars installed to keep damages by Kangaroos to a minimum. By any chance, do you have Squirrel Bars installed on your car? ;):D

I think the cops should pursue criminal charges of animal cruelty against the workers from the drywalling company who are responsible. It shouldn't be too hard to find out who the guilty parties are.

As an animal lover myself, and if these a-holes really did this knowingly, then hifi's third choice would fit the crime.

I hink hifi's calling for all three, and that sounds about right to me.

Studies have shown that people who abuse animals move on up the food chain and abuse other people as well.

exactly! but why does it only become important when it involves human beings and not when it involves animals?

in the spirit of the season I've reconsidered my approach to this situation (hopefully timec will see I'm looking past pure vigilante justice  ).....the offending party(s) should:
a) be charged with what ever the criminal statues allow
b) be fined under any applicable municipal bylaw
and finally trying to be a little creative on this one
c) be placed into an appropriate cage at the local SPCA for a period of no less than 2 weeks, during which time they have to eat, sleep and shit in their cage and are only allowed out for a maximum of 30 minutes per day if a friend or family member comes to supervise their out time (I wouldn't want the SPCA's staff or volunteer's time wasted with these assholes)

HFS
And let out only if they are leashed, muzzled, and on all fours for the duration of their walk. Cattle prods up the ass should ensure compliance!!!
