Was with a friend last night, driving around in the pouring rain, just around 5pm we were both getting hungry so i suggested we stop for a bite. I was in unfamiliar territory, the 49th and Fraser area. Luckily my friend lives nearby and knows it well. Im a healthy eater and a bit fussy as to where and what I eat. We were trying to decide what to eat when she remembered that a new thai restaurant had just opened on Fraser. I love Asian food but for me Thai is probably the one i eat the least for some reason. We decided to give it a try. I was hoping for something a bit more familiar and tried, rather than a new place we had never been to serving food i was not really into.
Parked near by, as soon as i saw the signage, big grin, "Eat Me Thai" well I like the name, good start I thought to myself.
It was a slow night, we were the only ones there. Nice, new, clean looking place, only about a dozen tables. Food was served quickly, ya i know, only ones there but it was nice regardless, Service was at times a bit awkward but still very nice. The young man who served us tried really hard and was rewarded accordingly. All in all was great, yummy, beautiful looking dishes at very reasonable price.
2 of us shared Hot and sour style soup with prawns, Pad thai, Spicy eggplant and veggies, an amazing prawn pineapple curry and steamed rice. $55

Im posting this cause as i mentioned they are a new place, with the best fucking name in the business and they could use some advertising i think. I figured my fellow Perbians would get a kick going to a place called Eat me. I dont have the address handy but north of 49th (maybe 45th or 46th) on east side of Fraser
looks-7
service-8
food-8.5/9
repeat -yes
recommend-yes

sounds decent enough as I like Thai food myself. think I'll visit over the holidays.
just wished server was a cute Thai girl instead of a guy.

and good on you for venturing into Thai cuisine, I think it has such diversity in flavours and texture.
I recommend Bob Likes Thai Food on Main Street. great food, priced right and one
of the owner is pure eye-candy.
