I'm looking for somebody to convert my entire site into drupal as well as revamp my links page to allow for others to add their own banner to my site while making periodic checks to ensure mine is still on theirs.

I'm not looking for somebody who is dabbling with it. I am wanting somebody who is efficient and skilled with the language and can complete the task within a week. I'm willing to pay up to $1000 to have this done properly and to specification.

Not to burst your bubble, but you're basically asking the person to build the entire site from scratch minus the fact that you have the content done. To do it for under 1000$ and 1 week is highly unlikely if you are paying for a mid/senior guy. Try asking people to submit their previous work and just take offers. Then decide on price / skillset.

$1000 sounds a little skinny for an integration by experienced Drupal engineers, but maybe not entirely crazy, depending on your scope. Our last small Drupal build was simply for content management with a small Paypal component. It was about $4000, so take away $2000 for graphic design hours (and I'm assuming that you want to retain your current design), the build component was $2000. It was sort of the same scope as what I'd imagine your project being.

This being said, Drupal is a bit overkill for a tiny site like yours. Are you just looking for content management and a link management component? Drupal is a bit like a sledgehammer for a finishing nail for your site. I could suggest other CMS solutions that would fit your needs for $1000. We have some custom components that might be more appropriate, can be tailored to your exact needs, and are fast to integrate.

And also be warned that many "experienced" Drupal engineers don't know what the hell they are doing. We've inherited a couple Drupal builds from that were complete messes. Looked fine on the outside, but were complete throwaways when it came to working with them, so be careful about selecting someone. Right now a senior freelance Drupal engineer who doesn't just "dabble" is $85/hr.

Could turn your site around in about three days with or without Drupal. I'm not sure which three days as it's a busy time. If you want more accurate costing on your project, feel free to PM me. I've got some references from some of the members here, if you'd like.

Sounds like you've researched and generally know what Drupal does, so I'm not necessarily trying to convert you away from Drupal. It's just not the first thing we suggest for every web project.

If you thought good SPs were hard to find, wait until you hire a competent web engineer well versed in SQL, PHP, Apache, OOP (not applicable for Drupal), and a lot of common sense
Yeah, you can make a lot for those skills, but I still spend it as fast as I make it.

I loved working with this girl she was without a doubt the best programmer ive worked with ever.
Not a bad designer, but her HTML programming on her portfolio sites isn't compliant. W3C validation errors all over the place.

Use a social network

You can always create a profile (free) on the new escort community/social network at www.donkry.ca

Redirect your .com domain to your Donkry profile and your customers will have access to all the information they will ever need. Rates, services, pics, updates, etc. You can update it easily, and it won't cost you anything.

A grand....really

Okay call me a bit of a dweeb but a grand to deliver a site in drupal in a week to some unknown spec?

Look us dweebs don't make big bucks hourly but unless you have a template and basis for a style of site...well a week may or not fit some unknown spec.

For a grand in a week , I send it to SharePoint and let clients live with it.

Like good quality in SP's , good quality for a week is way more than a grand.
