Lady Doritos sparked a huge social media discussion brought on by the CEO of the parent company Pepsi Co.

Indra Nooyi indicated Dorito's were considering coming out with a less crunchy version of their chip.

It may be a moot point now but one has to consider these huge corporate giants were considering a gender specific snack food.

Great Super Bowl Ad though

All I could think was the line from Flash Gordon, "end it now. Spare me the madness."

I can't think what was more insane: her statement or that the entire Western world seemed to mobilise against it. It was Grade A Defcon 1 stupid, but we are all so easily distracted that it became A Thing that was carried by major news media. I'm starting to wonder if an incoming asteroids a la the dinosaurs wouldn't be such a bad thing.

As to the chip idea itself, go ahead and knock yourself out and make stealth self-cleaning chips for people who might want them. That's all she had to say: it was for people who wanted that sort of thing, not women need this sort of thing. Saying it was for women took it out of the realm of "questionable product ideas" and into the realm of "did you just time travel forward from the 19th century?"
