I am thinking about buying a new digital camera and the choice is between Nikon D70 & D100.
Can some one tell me what are the advantages of D100 over D70 and if it is worth the price difference?
Where Can I find good prices on Nikon?
Thanks.

check this site

http://www.steves-digicams.com

you can find stats, review and sample pictures of the two

D100 is an older model I think. D70 can save you a few bucks.

Canon Digital rebel XT now feature 8.1 mgp and I think it is a better choice over D70.

Check out megapixel.net. They have a messageboard and there are so many good points. After weeks of studying I picked up a Panasonic FZ20. Even though it's a fairly big camera it's a 5 MP and a super zoom with a great lens.

The mega pixels only matter if you are shooting RAW mode. so getting a 10mpx camera doesn[t make a lot of sense if you aren't shooting magazine ads etc. Most photographers don't bother with RAW unless the client specifies it, or unless they have photoshop CS.

Nikon stuff is really expensive, so if you are looking for a bargain, buy the rebel. You can get canon lenses really cheap from second hand stores.

the d-70 is more advanced than the d-100 by the way. and good luck finding used Nikon stuff. :) we horde our Nikor lenses etc.
