I smell a rat.
Sorry, but let's put it out front right away.
Recently, I e-mailed a lady on the Deja Vu staff. She's been on my list of Edmonton lovlies to see for some time now. The lady responded that she would be on shift on the date and time of my planned visit. So far so good.
At about 1ish, on the day that she was to be on shift at 5, I phoned and booked an appointment for slightly after 5. Outstanding!
At about 4:30ish, I call to confirm my 5:15 appointment, saying that I may be five minutes or so behind schedule. No problem says the voice on the other end of the line. All systems still go!
Arrive at 5:15, almost exactly on time. Greeted by the lovely Ashley (note to self: add her to the list. Wow.), who leads me to a nicely laid out room. All systems go, ignition sequence started.
The door opens, it's a blond in a track suit. Oh oh. The lady of my desire ain't a blond. "Sorry, she's busy. Can you come back at 6?" Huh? Abort?
"Sorry", says the blonde, "I guess the day shift girl screwed up. Come back at 6, she will be free then".
Abort! Abort! Ejection sequence commenced.
Three direct communications:
First - an e-mail "Yes, I'll be on shift".
Second - a phone call, four hours ahead, booking an appointment.
Third - another phone call, 40 minutes prior, CONFIRMING the appointment. They confirmed.
Drive from downtown to damn near Spruce Grove. On arrival, "She's busy, the day girl screwed up, go have a beer and come back". Sorry Deja Vu, that's not the way it works.
1: If someone can't accept an appointment, or doesn't want to, SAY SO!
2: If someone has an appointment, and it can't be kept, for whatever reason, SAY SO when the customer calls to confirm it.
3: If you fail to do either of the above, have the courtesy to offer the customer some kind of a break in respect of YOUR FUCK UP.
None of the above three options was taken by DV.
Add it all up: DV screwed this potential customer over. It would have been my first visit to DV. They won't get a second chance.
My money promptly went elsewhere, to a facility which I have visited before, and will visit again. At the other locale, I discussed my interests with a couple of the ladies, selected one, and was in bliss for the next hour.
The lady at DV? She's still on the list, (and now Ashley is too!) but she'll have to change employers before she reaches the top of the list again. Deja Vu, and the lady in question, will certainly survive without my business, but my $$ will be taken elsewhere.
Rant complete. Review of the lady with whom I did visit to follow.
