Deja Vu - I smell a rat.

I smell a rat.

Sorry, but let's put it out front right away.

Recently, I e-mailed a lady on the Deja Vu staff. She's been on my list of Edmonton lovlies to see for some time now. The lady responded that she would be on shift on the date and time of my planned visit. So far so good.

At about 1ish, on the day that she was to be on shift at 5, I phoned and booked an appointment for slightly after 5. Outstanding!

At about 4:30ish, I call to confirm my 5:15 appointment, saying that I may be five minutes or so behind schedule. No problem says the voice on the other end of the line. All systems still go!

Arrive at 5:15, almost exactly on time. Greeted by the lovely Ashley (note to self: add her to the list. Wow.), who leads me to a nicely laid out room. All systems go, ignition sequence started.

The door opens, it's a blond in a track suit. Oh oh. The lady of my desire ain't a blond. "Sorry, she's busy. Can you come back at 6?" Huh? Abort?

"Sorry", says the blonde, "I guess the day shift girl screwed up. Come back at 6, she will be free then".

Abort! Abort! Ejection sequence commenced.

Three direct communications:
First - an e-mail "Yes, I'll be on shift".
Second - a phone call, four hours ahead, booking an appointment.
Third - another phone call, 40 minutes prior, CONFIRMING the appointment. They confirmed.

Drive from downtown to damn near Spruce Grove. On arrival, "She's busy, the day girl screwed up, go have a beer and come back". Sorry Deja Vu, that's not the way it works.

1: If someone can't accept an appointment, or doesn't want to, SAY SO!
2: If someone has an appointment, and it can't be kept, for whatever reason, SAY SO when the customer calls to confirm it.
3: If you fail to do either of the above, have the courtesy to offer the customer some kind of a break in respect of YOUR FUCK UP.

None of the above three options was taken by DV.

Add it all up: DV screwed this potential customer over. It would have been my first visit to DV. They won't get a second chance.

My money promptly went elsewhere, to a facility which I have visited before, and will visit again. At the other locale, I discussed my interests with a couple of the ladies, selected one, and was in bliss for the next hour.

The lady at DV? She's still on the list, (and now Ashley is too!) but she'll have to change employers before she reaches the top of the list again. Deja Vu, and the lady in question, will certainly survive without my business, but my $$ will be taken elsewhere.

Rant complete. Review of the lady with whom I did visit to follow.

So, confirmed appointment or not, they take anyone who walks in the door, and to hell with the appointment?

I mean, I see your point, if it's a "hi, who's available in twenty minutes?" type event. But not when there is as much communication as there was in this case. And, if being a PERB member should change the way that they deal with me, I suspect that I gave them enough clues in my e-mail for them to either figure it out or make an "educated guess".

I had a situation occur once

where I had an appointment. Walked in just behind a couple/three guys and the lady, knowing there was an appointment (me) asked, "Are you ***" The asshole says yeah. Then she looked up and saw me and sort of recognized me as a regular of the lady I had the appointment with. She then asked if I was ***. I said yes, that I had called about half an hour ago. Point being, if I had walked in maybe even two minutes later, same thing could have happened to me and it would NOT have been the ladies fault but some fuckin asshole pretending to be an appointment.

All possible, but there was no indication that DV mgmt really gave a shit.

End of the world? Of course not. The commie hordes aren't coming over the top, yet.

Piss me off? Yup.

Will I survive to poon another day? Yup.

Hey, I even boosted your Oilers on the follow-up. Then they let me down too. Oh well, another beer and tomorrow's another day.

Sometimes have to wonder

If the studios actually have an appointment book by the phone or are the ladies expected to take appointments on napkins (or other such reliable methods lol).

I have to agree with James on this one I also made an appointment also at DV but I was early for mine and the start of my sp's shift only to find out that she came in 1/2 hour early and would be busy till 1/2hour past my booked time. Whenever possible I like to be the first client on my sp's list for many reasons of my own. I was quite disappointed to be sat in a waiting room listeninng to this gal moaning and groaning. I had a wonderful session with this gal just a couple days previous and was so looking forward to grabbing her fresh that as upset as I was I decided to stay. I was sorry I had since my mood was not good now and I wasn't buying into her false feelings on how sorry she was.

me again

I also had a similar experience to BS D.... I phoned ahead asked who was working and said great I'll be there in 10mins to see her.
I pull in 10 minutes later and am greeted, hi would you like a massage? I said yes I'm Peter and I have a appointment with *****! Oh I'm sorry she just went in with a client ...long and short someone walked in 2 minutes after I called and my gal took him in without question. I had never been back to Penthouse after that even though many of my best memories where made there, but now new management and the lure of a KITTen I hope to put all that behind me. :)

At Fantasy

I had a somewhat similar experience at Fanatasy. My favorite girl had cold. So when I called to book an appointment, instead of telling me she was sick, they booked me anyways. When I arrived, she told me she was had a bad cold and she offered to stay with me anyways but I didn't. Later I was told that the reason why this happens is that they have a policy if a girl doesn't show up to her shift, she has to pay a $200 fine. This is why the girl had to come despite being sick.

Interesting information.

Anyone who has been taking part in MP fun has had this happen, it's a risk associated with the 'hobby'. Screw ups do happen, however, if the studio has any sense of management they would deal with the customer who got the short end of the stick so to speak.

I once showed up at a studio where I was booked for an appt with a gal who I a regular of. She was not there, had some sort of appt outside to take care of that ran overtime. Did they tell me to go cool off my heels elsewhere? NO. They filled the hot tub for me and let me have a complimentary soak while I waited.

As far as seeker's posting on the "Fantasy Fines", I guess the more sucessful the studio the bigger the fine? This 'fine' thing is used in other studios, I think it's a cash grab myself.

My 2cents.....

I have never had much luck booking appoints with whoever answers the phone... so now I talk to the lady I wish to see directly, and I don't try to book for their first session, just incase of a conflict...

Agree with Jim

being from out of town it is nice to book an appointment, however, understanding the nature of the business it is not uncommon to show up and find yourself on the outside looking in. when i last phoned deja vu i was asked if i had seen the provider that i wanted to see on another occassion. since i hadn't i was asked to come down and meet all the ladies on shift. once there, i made my selection, the provider that i wanted to see was available and all ended well. i can guarantee you that when i return i will have no problem booking an appointment and have the provider available at the prescribed time. just my .02 cents

I had a similar experience happen a DejaVu. Only diff is, I waited around for the lady. Will not say with who.

When she came out she was appologetic and she made the session even that much better. She even went as far as to take the price down a notch for my troubles. Ever since then I've seen this lady again and the session was even better than the first time.

just my 2 cents...

I had a somewhat similar experience at Deja Vu. Albeit I got to see the woman I had booked with. But soon after the session started - the massage, not the shower - I was forced to wait as the woman had to "take care of some business". Five minutes or so later she returned. I ended up getting a price break on session for the inconvenience.

When you've been to a place enough that ALL the girls know who you are on the phone, when they see you at the door, and the name you use...either you're really lucky or you're there to friggin much. At any rate, I like the fact that I can book at Fantasy and not have to worry about getting bumped or someone else taking my appointment. As for the other places...it's a dog eat dog world and some of the girls are ready to help out their coworkers and some are not. Yes there is still some bait and switching going on here and there...but it's the nature of the beast.

Know what you mean

Hi James,

I had the same problem twice, called in the girl said "No Problem" got there and the SP didnt have a clue or the girl was booked. After talking to the SP I wanted to see, she recommended that you talk to the SP in person and do not go through email or another girl to be on the safe side.

Since it happened to me twice Im doing that in the future. There are possible games being played or the girl who takes the reservation doesnt really care since it isnt her. About email I would trust that myself in this case.

My 2 cents.

Ahh shit.

I said that it was Ashley who led me through the gates. Wrong. The lovely young lass who greeted me was none other than the tasty looking Emily. Absolutely an add to the list, when circumstances change. My apology to Emily for mis-identifying her.

Thanks to the member who sent a PM about this post. A prime example of how to use the PM function effectively.

In response to a few of the comments which have popped up in here....

When you call to book an appointment with your doctor, lawyer, whatever, do you always speak directly? Or to an assistant, receptionist, secretary, whatever?

Are these places "Shit holes"? C'mon, that's somewhat over the top for the mainstream facilities.

The operater of this particular locale clearly has a systemic problem with the booking policy. Look at how many comments have followed mine in this thread. Yes the fuck-ups happen, but there seems to be a pattern here. How hard can it be? Esecially with multiple communications leading to the event.

Incidently, despite the visibility of this thread, and the fact that they do have an e-mail address for me, not a word from DejaVu. A couple of their ladies are members here, so it's a fair bet that they know this is up.

Perhaps DV mgmt really doesn't give a shit after all.
