Are you talking about just a generic chat site, or a hobby related chat site...?

Perberts Anonymous Chat is an MSN group and is free.

My understanding, though, is that MSN Chat is closer to an IRC type of chat than the individual chat rooms available for MSN Groups, so perhaps this is not what you're asking about.
