I can't seem to access the Chat. When I go the chat it asks me to log in. I user my Perb login and it doesn't work and when I try to sign up for an account it just takes me back to the main chat page.

Has anybody had any luck?

Thanks.

Try opening your related hotmail account and keeping it open as you use groups.

Hope that does the trick for you.

A helicopter was flying around above Seattle when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft's electronic navigation and communications qquipment. Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter's position and course to fly to the airport. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, drew a handwritten sign, and held it in the helicopter's window. The pilot's sign said "WHERE AM I?" in large letters. People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign and held it in a building window. Their sign read: "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER." The pilot smiled, waved, looked at her map, determined the course to steer to SEATAC airport, and landed safely. After they were on the ground, the co-pilot asked the pilot how the "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER" sign helped determine their position. The pilot responded "I knew that had to be the Microsoft building because they gave me a technically correct, but completely useless answer."

Instructions for Micro$oft's new tv dinner product

You must first remove the plastic cover. By doing so you agree to accept and honor Microsoft rights to all TV dinners. You may not give anyone else a bite of your dinner (which would constitute an infringement of Microsoft's rights). You may, however, let others smell and look at your dinner and are encouraged to tell them how good it is. If you have a PC microwave oven, insert the dinner into the oven. Set the oven using these keystrokes:

<<\mstv.dinn.//08.5min@50%heat//
Then enter:

ms//start.cook_dindin/yummy\|/yum~yum:)gohot#cookme.
If you have a Mac oven, insert the dinner and press start. The oven will set itself and cook the dinner.

McAfee-Question: Is Windows a virus?

No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:

1. They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.
2. Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.
3. Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.
4. Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. Sigh... Windows does that, too.
5. Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2.) and the user will buy new hardware. Yup, that's with Windows, too.
Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences:
Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.
So Windows is not a virus. It's a bug.

I constantly have log-in problems w/ the chat room; each time i have to re-register under a new handle. It will not accept my old handle & old password that i set up -- and I use the same password i use for all chat rooms, so i'm not forgetting what that is.

&, it won't allow me to use an old handle & re-establish my password -- it tells me the handle is already in use (I know it is! I established it!) but it won't accept the password I set it up with.

Often it won't send me to the page to register when i give up to go to a new handle -- i get that page w/ "error http" on it, & have to go back to the front page, sometimes logout completely, and go into the chat room fresh to register anew under a new handle.

& i'm using IBM compatible machine & software, not mac/apple

Saying that, i'm using this only as a free service, so that's the way it goes, i figger. the mods who work on this can't be making much money off this, so whatever they do to keep the site going is worth the minor hassles.
