@the Meat Market!!!lol
i am going to do this interview and wonder if anyone else might be interested in sharing concerns or experiences with the new legal framework in canada?

pm me here if you are interested in taking part.

if any pooners are interested, they have promised anonymity and face black out/ voice distortion......

we can use my place for interviews or make other arrangements

as follows....

We spoke earlier today on the phone. Thanks for you time and insight.

As we discussed, here at CBC’s The National, we’re working on a feature report (somewhere between 10-12 minute range) about the new prostitution law (Bill C-36) and how it affects the lives of sex workers and ‘Johns’ in Canada. The reporter I work with is named Nick Purdon. We are a small 2 person team.

We want to interview you. Also we would like to include the voices and opinions of other sex workers - perhaps some of the people you help.

Also it seems that the ‘Johns’ are almost always left out of this debate. They are never asked for their insights and opinions on the issue of prostitution. We would like to change that. Would you be able to help us connect with ‘Johns’ who would be willing to be interviewed to tell their side of the story?

Thanks for your generosity and sharing your knowledge.

When it comes to the john's story .. or in site. . Each is different.and only reflects a small portion of the reasons why we see girls.. or why we are friends with active and retired escorts .

...One man's in site might be quite shovanistic. An other might be a very pathetic story and reason... I am never sure where I fit in as an example of a John. . and I have second thoughts on much of the business

.. But when it come to the new bill 36.. I can see how it does not help sex workers. And All though drivers and security is a legal service to provide to escorts.. Many don't use them ..and many of the clients..are concerned about ripoffs.. and being outed or targeted by LE.. which makes their behavior very unpredictable. And makes the job more dangerous for every one..

I have mentioned a few time I was interviewed and filmed for the brothel project ..but the footage was never used. .and the story was paired down to the basic over all..
New knew why the film maker never persude some of the real stories of the escorts involved.. that would of been a great documentary.

Nother sure if I would help or hinder .

I would help with this, if you think it would have a positive impact. It seems the state has its mind made up. Just like with mary jane, and everything else that's healthy and fun.

Personally, I think it better not to talk about it until sex, drugs, and rock and roll are separated from morality.

Most people (including and especially politicians!!) act as if and believe that abstinence is a bad thing. The state has no business insinuating its judgments on the lives of citizens. People have one life to live, and are free to make their own judgments and decisions, providing no harm done. No harm, no foul.

But if this shows up on an interview, are they going to consider what I have to say? Or are they just going to ramp up suppression/repression, forcing me deeper into seccession.

Good luck Susi!!!

Remind them that not everyone who likes sex is a filthy pervert or predator or victim.

Please God let the CBC for once make a reasonable article about someone who is not a victim.

This is a good thing, Susi.

I think involving clients only titilates the audience. It muddies the message.

Canadians and our politicians should listen to those employed in the industry.

For instance, the article Canada Has Declared War On Sex Workers — And The U.S. Is Close Behind https://unicornbooty.com/canada-has-declared-war-on-sex-workers-and-the-u-s-is-close-behind/ is a framing of the question that has yet to penetrate the public discussion.

Your informed contribution is more beneficial than the utterings of a closeted client.

Thank you.
