Canada West beats US Hawks 98-0!

While Canada East gets upset 29-14 by the US Falcons in North America 4 action . You can see highlights here. It's about 10 minutes long.

It's a tournament that's been put together in the hopes that it will eventually develop into a fully professional rugby league in North America. Basically, they took the senior men's national teams and divided them into two teams per country as a starting point. They'll be playing the second set of games this Wednesday at UBC, kick-off for the first game will be at 5:30, then in Victoria on Saturday before shifting to the US. Come out and support Teams Canucks.

Thanks for the report. Looks like an upset there. Having said that, the East tends to lack the experience that the West has. Looks like it will be up to the West and all the BC Boys to take revenge.

What's the venue at UBC. I work out there and can take in the game,

A lot of the players on the Canada East team actually do play here in BC; but yeah, they were a bit sloppy. Plus, their tackling really wasn't up to snuff. it's looking like Canada West will be the team to beat.

I'm almost 100% certain that it's at T-bird stadium since it's the only place with stadium seating and it's where they always host rugby matches. Yes, it's Union.
