If they was smart...

...they'd send all them Cali folks to Iraq. If they wanna be doin' all that killin', might as well make it worthwhile.

Looks like Canada's gun registering system works and saves lives.
And we don't let people buy assault weapons like they do in the states.

Personally, I think guns should be registered, just like cars. Yet, I think that your post is directed at a different audience. :)

your mom says hi.
that 622 will climb this year with all the shit that is going on in toronto right now. its getting pretty fucked up. just like detroit in the late 80's early 90's. although i consider myself a leftist inbetween the far left and the centre i really don't agree with the gun registery whatsoever. it is such a money pit waste of dollars and it hasn't done anything to save the lives of all the murdered in toronto this year seeing as how those are all illegal firearms smuggled in from the u.s. .

I think that it's the mentality of the people. It's a lot different up there and a LOT less violent. I live here and visit Vancouver often and there's an HUGE difference overall in the two locales).

I do not believe that gun control keeps guns out of the hands of the people.

I think its Rap Music that makes young people violent and use guns. They all wanna be gangstahs, yo biotch.

I guess it was a long day yesterday but I forgot to mention that California has perhaps the strictest gun laws in the U.S.. There are no Assault weapons sold here in Cali and ALL weapons anywhere in the U.S. are registered and a background check is performed prior to purchase throught the FBI and Justice Dept. This process is conducted regardless of whether it is a sporting rifle or a handgun that's being purchased. All weapons are registered (or, supposed to be). The criminals don't use these channels though.

Yeah, it's REALLY pleasant to get away from all that 'cause I hate it so. I like a lot of the music but strongly dislike the associated culture.

I really don't see it there in Vancouver except for in the folks that live in Surrey or the odd sideways-hat-wearing person that I see in a club there that's obviously visiting from the U.S.

Unfortunately this difference in values (and murder rates) between the two countries pre-dates Rap (> 20 years. Man, I could have sworn Rap was going to be a short lived trend).
