King Crab Fest is back on, and I have been wanting to do it for years! I'm hoping this is the year ;-)
I was looking for recommendations for the best restaurants to try it at. And if you have done it this year, I would love to hear which dishes they cooked and your experience. If they have booths or areas that aren't overly loud and a little bit private, that would be a bonus.
Also, if anyone knows how long it running for, that would be terrific. It's going to take a bit of planning to get a small group available at the same time! There are 4 or 5 ladies planning to go, and we want a 14 pounder!
For those of you who don't know, this is the time of year with the fishermen bring whole, live crabs to any of the Chinese restaurants with tanks big enough to hold them. You purchase a whole crab - around 10 lbs (current pricing seems to be about $53/lb), and the restaurant cooks it up in anywhere from 3-10 ways, served family style for your table.
Off to the gym to start burning it off ;-)
