Anyone have any recommendations for a nice hotel downtown that is convenient for seeing SPs? Last one I stayed at it felt like the front desk staff were eyeballing me every time I walked thru the lobby. I don't want anyone making a scene if I bring in some company.

On the flip side if the location is conveniently located to go to incalls that would be good too. Sorry I don't know Vancouver well so not sure what's a quick walk and what isn't.

At a high end hotel, the staff is probably trained to greet the customers. As long you don't have a short stubby moustache like a certain dictator from WW 2.

Four seasons has an elevator on the bottom floor front entrance that doesn't require a key card and completely by passes the front desk.

The Hyatt also has an elevator that doesn't require key cards, and is also not right by the front desk.

If you bring in some company - say after dinner - discretion may dictate that you enter the hotel separately anyways. Go out to dinner with both keys, give the lady a key, enter the hotel a minute apart after dinner - just make sure you get your key back :)

I LOVE the Pan Pacific Hotel for the ease with which you can move between the lobby & your room without being bothered. I also like the Sutton Place. I think both are great places for out of towners as far as views & acessibility to great restaurants, attractions, events, etc. I'm also getting REALLY good at maneuvering my way around downtown via crossing between the Expo Line & Canada Line trains at Vancouver City Centre! ;D

lower mainland.
Wedgewood.
Outstanding property, although given their modestly sized lobby and propensity for recognizing and greeting you *by name* when you walk in, discretion may be somewhat of a challenge.

I am certain however, discretion is foremost in their code of ethics.
