Arriving to Victoria soon: I need your feedback about incall locations in general

Hello Gentlemen and Ladies, I am new here!

I will soon move to Victoria (from Kingston, Ontario. Fed up with long winters!) and will have to look for an incall location. I have only visited Victoria once, and have a rough idea of the various neighborhoods there. I know that the current rental crisis might make my search difficult but I want to remain positive. So I have a few questions regarding your "general preferences" for a potential incall location, please:

- Is there a preference for downtown or is any neighborhood fine?
- Is Esquimalt still considered very close to downtown, or is that already too far?
- Talking about too far: What is way too far? (Colwood, Langford?)
- About parking: If there is no visitor parking, is that a deal braker for you?

I will look for a unit/condo in a nice neighborhood, not a house, and will not share the space. Your point of view will be very helpful, thank you very much!

Available rental properties is less than 3/4 of 1% Esquimalt is considered the poor side of town. Colwood /Langford is considered the 4x4 driving redneck part of town. I wouldn't consider Langford to be too far out of town especially after rush hour. Esquimalt is only minutes away, downtown is nice but it's expensive, especially if you want a really nice place. No parking would generally be downtown as the other area's of town usually have lots of side street parking.

I think a central location in one of the neighborhoods surrounding downtown would be good such as Chinatown,Fairfield,or even Vic West.

Colwood,and even more so Langford,are complete clusterf***s when it comes to traffic and parking and I doubt many in town pooners would go out there.When I see an ad for an SP who's location is Langford,my first thought is she's most likely a meth addict in a filthy basement suite and I keep looking.

Esquimalt is really close to downtown and is rapidly improving but has a bad rap with long time Victoria residents and they might avoid.

No visitor parking isn't a deal breaker for me as long as there's some street parking available nearby.

or Downtown
or there are hidden gem locations even in Esquimalt...

Close to downtown or downtown would be the best bet and Cook St. Village, Fernwood, and Quadra St. Village should be added to the research mix. Parking is not a deal breaker even downtown. Keep on asking, seek general real estate advice, and enjoy looking around this beautiful city. Good hunting

As nobody mentioned Saanich or any neighborhood North, like Brentwood, and up to the airport/Sidney, I guess that they would not be a good choice either because too far from downtown?

I don't live on the Island but I do spend a few weeks a year with family in the Langford area. Langford has some nice condo developments, but I should think that from a business perspective you'd be better off in or close to the downtown area. Any time that I have visited an SP in the Victoria area I have chosen to go downtown. On the other hand, if I were living downtown, I sure wouldn't choose to go out to Langford to see a lady, unless she and I had a very personal connection.

Sidney or Brentwood Bay would be a bit far. One of the new condo buildings in View Royal might be a good compromise and with all the construction in Langford in the past 10 years or so, there should be no lack of very nice options for an upscale incall there: Finding a vacancy might be.

I think anything beyond Quadra or even View Royal might be too far, especially if you think you might want to be open to the downtown/midday clientele. Has someone mentioned Vic West yet? It's technically not Esquimalt but borders it, both are across the gorge from downtown. Some really nice condo buildings going up or fairly new by the drawbridge, very short distance from downtown (tho probably too far to walk). Anything south of Bay street would be "downtown" by my viewpoint. Good Luck and welcome to the best place on Earth!
