Personally I don't really care much for TV - I've setup plex with a few of the arrs for a lot of content, but apparently that isnt enough for some people. So I'm looking for alternatives to calbe/telus tv options.

So i am looking at IPTVs again, and would like to find out what people are using these days (service, hardware and price)

As well do you get any Canadian channels? Would love to hear your experiences or recommedations.

I have been using IPTV for a few years now and for the most part it is pretty impressive. First run movies in 5.1 and sometimes 4k within a couple weeks of them first showing. Many tv shows from the various streaming services. Plus a back catalog in the 10's of thousands. Its all delivered via a linux box dedicated to this task. Decent menuing and a record function as well if I choose. $100 for the box and about $11 or so a month. As far as exactly details, this is from a guy recommended by another guy who is a friend of a neighbour of mine, so if you get that it is very much word of mouth due to the general grey ness of the whole thing. It does go down now and then and that takes a text with screen shot of what the error is to my "guy". Usually there is a very quick fix.

This is not my main tv service but now and then its a blast to queue up various shows etc so I'm good with any costs.

IPTV used to be decent back in the day as well as a good chord cutting option.

Nowadays with frequent takedowns of IPTV services it's becoming more difficult to find a reliable IPTV service even if it's a premium IPTV service.
