Yeah, I know it's lame, but I have NEVER been to any clubs in the GVRD area. Looking for recommendations. I listen to www.thebeat.com, more specifically I like the tunes that JSwing and Flipout make. Any ideas?

I'm in Vancouver next week (not working... sorry guys ;) ) with my g/f, and we plan on hitting the clubs. Doing a search turns up a lot, especially on Granville Street in the 900 to 1200 blocks. I have no doubt we will find some, but are there any to stay away from?

We're a couple of small-town gals (OK, Victoria... close enough to small...) just looking to dance our proverbial butts off. We like places that have at least a 25+ or even 30+ crowd. If anyone knows The Clubhouse (in the Sticky Wicket), that's usually our speed, although we can be found at Evolution sometimes too.

Scaper mentioned Plush - what kind of crowd does that have? Is it busy? Will we have to wait for 2 hours outside to get in, only to pay $20 cover and $15 drinks?

Dress code?? There are places with dress codes?? (Yes, I'm showing my n00b side here...). What would these dress codes be beyond the "No shirt, no shoes, no service."?

Since we only have two nights in town, we'd like to make the best of it ;)

Been very quite lately. To answer Anne's question The Roxy on granville is your best chance with a 25+ crowd. It's live music there. If your get there between 10 and 10:30pm you shouldn't have a problem getting in. If not I know some people that work there and could get you in. Dress code is pretty casual. Standard really No sweats, track pants, etc

PLush is a younger crowd and hip hop, plus a dress code: Dress shirts, shoes, etc

Hope that helped
