I’ve noticed a rise in the number of these allegations lately, especially in the Winnipeg forum, we’re not saying there isn’t substance abuse but PERB doesn’t allow it because it’s been used as a blackmail tool in the past and to be blunt you have no idea what happens in someone’s private life from a 3 second observation, your making a supposition that could ruin someone’s reputation! A case in point a few days ago I got a PM from a lady that someone had posted they saw a needle on her table, I’m not an expert but I don’t believe illegal drugs come in handy injectable pens and the lady proved to me that she was diabetic and was on ozempic. The post was deleted. So let’s not be making anymore unfounded allegations or be prepared to face the consequences!

Thank you for this. There are plenty of disabilities and the spectrum of neurodiversity that affect things like speech, memory, eye contact, focus, and other motor skills, and it's beyond unfair to be posting accusatory slander based on a 30 minute interaction. Appreciate this, mods. 🙏🙏

One of the phone people told me they had to take the bathroom door off because of the drug use at the agency they worked at.
This is a rumour I heard numerous times, as well as MANY rumours I have heard about others and even myself that were unfounded.
I think the point is there are always 2 sides to a story, there are always more facts to be shared (or that can not be shared) and it shouldn't be posted
on an advertising board.

In my opinion - drug use is rampant in all industries, and addiction should never be shamed or people belittled for their mental health status.
Personally, because of my own past struggles, I find it hard to work with people that are in the throws of addiction, which leaves my
bleeding heart sad - because those people need and should have safe places to work as well. If agency owners are doing things like
creating barriers from providers using inside their business, they should not be mocked or made to feel less than. The loss of that agency
left a lot of well-reviewed providers searching for safe locations to work from, some of them have landed in locations that care a lot less
about them as people or individuals.

I always say 3 sides to every story. Your side, their side and the truth.
