So Jon Stewart's interviewing Alan Alda (a well known left-leaning activist), and asks him about playing a powerful Republican on "The West Wing". Alda's response:

"Hey, no discontinuity there. Republicans are just as capable as putting forth good ideas about how to run the country as everyone else....

....they just don't do it!"

WOW!! Alan Alda. That fukkin guys got be looking mighty old by now compared to his MASH days.

I never thought he was much of an actor, I don't really care about his view on politics, but I will say he has one g*d damn awesome voice for narrating those science shows on PBS.

You are so correct about the way he narrates on PBS.

Regarding his aging looks, it appears he has chosen to allow himself to grow old "gracefully", naturally, which is the way most non-celebrities chose to age.

Compare his wrinkly skin with the stretched tight flesh on our Gubernator's face here in Cal. Every time I see him on TV I have to wonder if that tight skin is as painful as it looks.

Not sure of their relative ages, nor do I really care, but they can not be too far apart in age.

The miracle of modern surgery.

Alda versus AHNOLD

AHNOLD - 1947
ALAN ALDA - 1936.

Of course Arnold Schwarzenegger only had about $100 million reasons to keep a more youthful appearance.
