I will be coming to Vancouver in December for the Roger Water's concert, and I am looking for recomendations on a nice, reasonably priced hotel near GM Place. Any advice?

The best advice I can give you on booking hotels in any major city in North America if your trip is guaranteed is to check hotel options in Hotwire and cross reference them using the postings and hotel listings on www.betterbidding.com forums

A little bit of effort saves you a lot of $$ that could be better spent on a good meal or post show entertainment.

In my house
Whenever I travel and prior to booking I always check out tripadvisor - good source of up to date reviews for hotels and b&bs, etc.
It may be good to remember that December can start getting cool here and/or really rainy, so it may be a good thing to pick a place more close by GM place to walk and/or avoid those horrible parking charges. Rosedale on Robson isn't fancy, but the units are like small studio or one bedroom type condos with kitchenettes and secure underground parking. Opus and Wedgewood are great but more $$s and bit more of a walk to the venue. Hope the concert is good...

The Georgian Court. Right across the street, can't get any nearer.

Try Vancouver's newest luxury gem, the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Just across the new convention center along Canada Place. One of the nicest hotels in North America. These Fairmont hotels including the Waterfront have such comfy beds you'll just love to sleep in. :)

And also, besides Opus there's another excellent upscale boutique hotel in downtown, which is the Shangri-La Hotel. :)

Thanks for all the information. Right now, I'm leaning towards the Rosedale because of it's price and location.

BUMP!

I need a new Downtown Vancouver spot, any recommendations for a nice hotel with no keycard lock in the elevator?

Thank you :D
Nikki had good luck with Le Soleil when she came to town earlier this year.
