Advice for a Surrey SP?

I have been working, faithfully, at the same MP for the past few years. I always make the customers happy, don’t charge ridiculous rates, have many repeats & help keep the place clean & organized. Everything has been going well up until this month… when my boss let his wife take over the running of the business.

She hates me. Every time a customer comes in she “forgets” to call me to show, I have to be vigilant & listen for the doorbell if I want to be seen. But, even when a customer picks me, she first tries to get him to take another girl, next she will take him to the room, then send in another girl… and as a last resort, only if the customer demands it or threatens to leave, she will send me in. Now, I have always been nice to her, genuinely, and helpful, since her English is quite lacking, I always diffuse volatile situations with drunken customers that she seem to piss off without fail.

I have talked to her but she pretends like she doesn’t understand me & her husband is too whipped to deal with her. I really like my situation other than the complete lack of customers (as of my typing this I have sice had 2 full shifts with no clients). I am the only caucasian girl so I have no competition, so to speak, I have internet access & basically my own space to chill during my shifts.

I have worked at other places before but the girls are so catty &/or the place is not clean and nice. I prefer to keep working in Surrey out of convenience & safety, but from the reviews I’ve read of the other Parlours I would be jumping out of the pan and into the fire. Working by myself in a private apartment or other such situation wouldn’t be possible for me at this time either.

Is there anyone here with advice on how to deal with my situation or who knows of a decent place I could shift my booty off to? Anything constructive would be greatly appreciated as I am at my whits end.

Go Independent...

Go indy...if you are worried about overhead expenses and your safety...find another female SP who wants to go indy. Shouldn't be hard to find...

Tough situation. I'd agree with IDB but you've stated you can't do this from your own place so going indy is almost out of the question. Have you tried to talk to the husband? Is he not going to be running the joint from here on in?
You could try going indy and just doing outcalls...but there's a safety issue in that - plus, I'd imagine a lot of guys prefer incalls.

What about the Carmen Fox incall location? It's in Burnaby and it's essentially a massage parlour isn't it? They seem pretty upscale, so I imagine you wouldn't have to deal with cleanliness issues or catty girls.

The Fox Den is not a MP; it is an incall location where Foxes meet clients for pre-arranged appointments.

There are places without catty girls. Sometimes a white girl can fit in with an AMP, to be the alternative choice to the Asian gals.

I can't say much about Surrey, other than Lotus seems to be an alright place. As for Vancouver, the girls at Prosper City appear to be friendly with one another, and as for Burnaby, Q Pointe is okay, too.

It's a tough spot you're in. I imagine that perhaps because you are caucasian that the lady is acting this way, maybe out of sympathy for the other employees. From the tone of the post it wouldn't be ideal for you to go indy or move to another MP and I can see that it would be tough to break into this market if you are the only caucasian working where you are should you decide to depart.

a) If you can, talk to the husband about PERB. It won't be hard to convince him that things like this are reported by clients and SPs. Once he sees for himself what the site can do, I can't imagine he'd want to lose any money. People don't get into business, reagrdless of nature, to lose money.

b) You can pay for advertising here and elsewhere to attract more clients. I don't think there is a rule where you have to rely on the house's advertising. Advertising for yourself means that the prospective client is only seeing you.

The Fox Den does not allow walk ins and all appointments are arranged but they are licensed as an MP.

The Fox Den has possibly stumbled on pioneering a new form of the prostitution industry. There needs to be a name for it.

Hi Betty,

Your story sounds similar to another lady that I know.

With this other lady, what I couldn't understand was why she would stay in such a crappy circumstance.

Bottom line, she was missing out on business. And so are you.

Sometimes, things seem like they are okay (the "it could be worse" mentality) until we make the switch. Then we see later that, yes indeed, the grass is sometimes greener on the other side.

So, my advise-based on the information that you presented- is look for another place to work and move on.

This may mean that you will have to travel a bit more, revise your schedule a bit, etc. But, hell, almost anything is probably better than having to go 2 days without customers.

Finally, having said all this, make sure that you provide good service. Without good service, no location or other change is gonna help. Good service is what keeps the customers coming (pardon the pun).

Thank you, everyone, for all the advice

I have spoken to my boss again and advised him that his wife is seriously bad for business and, according to him, none of the other ladies like her either... except for her two favourites :/ I offered to work reception at night for free, since I would be fair and the other ladies like me, but he isn’t interested in that, he said his wife wants to work and she is the “new boss”. I think he is considering selling the business or has other ventures going, because he doesn’t seem very fazed about the loss of business.

As far as other advertising goes, I put up a listing on CL, only to have my plan thwarted when she pulled the same BS. She took the gentleman into the room and sent in another girl, then when he complained to her, she told him I was busy, which I was not. He emailed me later and told me he had felt very uncomfortable and would not be returning. I don’t blame him, nor any of the other customers we have lost since she’s taken over, I sure as Hell wouldn‘t stick around if I had to play games like that! Short of me walking out, stopping every customer that walks in and asking them if they are here for me, I don’t seem to have much choice in the matter.

I will be looking at other parlours in the area possibly next week, unless I can talk my boss into changing his mind. If I could locate a local SP looking for a partner in crime I may also consider it. Would it be inappropriate to email these ladies, since no one seems to put “hiring” on their ads?

Finally, having said all this, make sure that you provide good service. Without good service, no location or other change is gonna help. Good service is what keeps the customers coming (pardon the pun).

Sound advice It is a very rare occasion when a customer of mine is not completely satisfied, and as I’ve stated before, I have many repeat bookings. The quality of my service is not the issue I’m having, it is merely that when they do try to come back to visit, I am “busy” “retired” “not here” or she simply pretends she didn’t understand.
