Is it just me or does the false advertising drive you crazy? Why do they even bother putting in a weight? I'm almost tempted to buy portable travel scale and deduct 10$ for every lbs past claimed weight. What do you guys think? Would that be fair?:eyebrows:

While I empathize with those that have had to deal with false advertising, I still think perb is your best friend. If you can't find a review, and are willing to TOFTT, then so be it. Just report back, if the advertised weight was just too far off for the imagination.

Failing that, just don't go see anyone that hasn't been reviewed, at least somewhere in the archives! You absolutely deserve to have a happy experience but, just as in real life, there are no absolutes here in playland! And weight is only one aspect of the experience.

Don't worry, eventually, you'll have your very own personal list of favourites, and they'll be on your list because of your valiant efforts at sorting the good from the bad, based on what makes you happy...

Would that be "fair"? Absolutely.

Is the world "fair"? Definitely not.

What's a guy to do? Personally, i go to places where it's [a] spinner heaven & i can see upfront what i am buying, as in SWs, fishbowls, gogos, etc.

How does your post make you look? Quite reasonable IMO. You have a legitimate complaint.

But let's see what PillowGirl has to say, for the deciding vote ;

False advertising is not just limited to fake pics. There are old pics, and those taken from overly flattering angles. If the lady does not look as you expect, then just walk.

We recognize that most of the weight and measurement claims are not to be taken literally.

To follow the above out to its logical conclusion: it sounds like a guy may be walking "most" of the time.

How much is this costing him in wasted hours travelling, wasted gas, wasted time in research, frustration?

BBW (Big Beached Whales) is not most guys thing.

Sure there's a few chubby chasers out there - but most men aren't.

I think having a scale is over the top (lol) but I can understand some guys frustration.

Personally I have found "most" SP's take pretty good care of themselves, it's the regular girls on dating sites you have to worry about.

You meet them and you think to yourself, wow - have you ever let yourself go!

The weight in itself doesn't mean anything to me. It's just a number.
I'm more interested in knowing her body type: Lean or not lean.

Makes me look like a honest customer thats come to purchase an advertised service/product with incorrect specs? How do you think it makes you look? Got something to hide?
I think that would be fucking rude. How much does their actual weight matter to you? Guys have no concept of what a girls weight actually is or actually should be.
If you don't like the way she looks when you get there then just leave. But to say you'll bring a scale and demand a discount because she's heavier than you thought is pretty brutal, even if you're 'joking'.

Think about how this post makes you look.

I would like to be a fly on the wall, watching you walking in with a scale under your arm. We could start a new way of describing SP, pound-for-pound she was the best. Of course it goes both ways.
What? Why you feel the need to make stupid comments in multiple threads is exactly the reason perb has a rep for having total morons.
Did you even graduate high school? Half of your posts don't even make sense.

Well it makes him sound tired of the fake advertising, the bait and switch, you know the usual stuff we pooners have to wade through

As for how you look, it would appear you've been called out in the past, and probably have been in the trade a wee bit too long too ;)

Yup, defender of the undefendable, attacker of the pooner

LOL, too true, age, weight as well as "open minded" etc. All just open to someone's interpretation

Not sure how it goes both ways, unless the pooner is advertising using fake data and charging too. Please explain, somewhat confused by your logic

Personally I was thinking of the travel scales the one that weigh your luggage that you just hang to a coat rack.

It appears that some SP's don't put much value in the measurement of weight, so you should not believe it anyways. I guess some sp's don't put an accurate weight because guys are morons and don't know the difference between 110 and 210.

I think the point of the OP was about the little white lies the ladies advertising here sometimes say. They are trying to paint the most flattering picture of themselves in order to attract clientele and in that regard I don't blame them. This is why I think they should try to update pics and such info about themselves quarterly at least, if not more frequently. I want any SP I want to be a known quantity, at least as much as one can tell from ads and reviews. Pics, measurements, things like that help get the imagination going and whet our appetite. When we feel we have been outright deceived, it doesn't exactly put us in the mood.

I actually think the truth is better in most cases. Example. A lady who has retired and was very well reviewed here once confided to me her real age. It was 5+ years what she advertised, although I thought she looked at least 5 years younger than she advertised. I suggested she post her real age, because I thought a "holy shit she's hot for her age" factor would help attract clients, though she was much more modest about it.

I suppose my point is honesty is best in advertising, though all customers should expect a little embellishment from any vendor, though they should be mindful how they present themselves in all aspects :)
