Travel to distant lands is common today. In fact so common that the romantic appeal associated with travel, has dimmed somewhat. In the olden days, travel was riskier and usually reserved for the ultra rich who could afford it and the armed escorts, or the valiant explorers whose personal sense of curiosity overpowered the risks associated with venturing out into the unknown.
There are however many among us who have, either by choice or circumstance not been exposed to the Joy of Travel. I have been fortunate enough to experience the feeling of “adventure” this experience brings and, over the course of the next few months will relate some of the journeys I have been on, along with tips to use when purchasing travel products – yes, confidential insider stuff.
Travel for me came either in the form of business or personal pursuits. I have cruised the Mediterranean, the Amazon River and explored the backwoods of Northeastern Thailand, Bali, among many. For most of you who have done so, this may be a boring topic – I would challenge you however to relate your experiences here as well, as I and others will certainly learn from them.
