Good read, although pretty basic common sense stuff.

The only real issue is with "Lesson 3. Keep Location, Location, Location in Mind"

Makes sense not to play around in your hometown, especially if it's a real small place where everyone knows your name; but this blog doesn't really give any helpful tips on how to travel out of town without your wife.

Sometimes having a job like mine that requires a lot of travelling, as well out-of-town family members are good convincing reasons to leave the wife behind; but only confined to those areas.

How do you convince your wife that you want to go to Thailand for the not-so-obvious reasons?

In my experience, with men who travel often for work, it's not uncommon to "say" you're going to one city but actually be in another one. If your wife only ever calls you on your cell, rather than on the land line of a hotel, you could be pretty much anywhere (not bullet proof, but calculated risk). Sticking to approximately the same time zone of where you are supposed to be is also helpful....but I can't help you with getting to Thailand.
