If the initial poll results are any indication, many of us pooners are sex addicts.

Whenever people in the outside world talk about our "hobby," they say we're the ones exploiting the poor girls.

I wonder who's exploiting who??

Everyone has their habits, fixations and obsessions, and an intelligently managed sex addiction is probably one of the most rewarding obsessions to have.

As a pleasure this one goes right to the core of male evolutionary hard-wiring. What makes sex addictive, for many of us, is an aspect of adventure and unpredictability and variety with ever new partners.

It's of course a major challenge for male sex addicts that female counterparts are few and far between—that relatively few women understand and accept our non-monogamous urges or even remotely keep pace with them. That's where pooning comes in.

The sex you don't (directly) pay for generally comes with burdensome strings attached—but the sex you pay for can bankrupt you in short order. The challenge, for us sex addicts, is to steer a balanced middle course between relationship sex and commercial sex.

Myself, I admit I haven't found the perfect balance yet.

Cripes you have got to be joking.....you are asking this question to a shitload of men that pay for sex ( or pay the gal to leave ).....the big point you left out is that us guys are like salmon that swim upstream to spawn....we dont know why we do it and we cant help it....we just do it....due to our instincts that are ingrained into our DNA.Personally I answered "NO" to the poll that was posted as I have gone 9 months without getting laid (this was due to a choice and at the time it was good for me)

i didn't vote (perhaps i will) but i believe i'm addicted to sex. This hobby is expensive, and most mornings when i wake up, the first thing i do is go on CL and see whats going on with the advertising in the ES section. I can't afford it, nor do i believe in paying for sex but the urges are so strong that i don't think i'm actually in control. Yes it seems there are many contributing factors to seeing a SP that all contribute to my addiction (i find i get a bit of an adrenaline rush from the whole ordeal), but i feel for myself that it is an addiction none the less.

Lets put it this way, i enjoy smoking weed... but if i don't got any its no big deal for me to go a day or two without it, especially when i can't afford it. But with seeing SP's, i just don't think its ever really a good idea especially when its free out there for the taking, but that never stops me. Sometimes when i think about how much i've spent on this hobby i do feel like a bit of a sex junkie. Theres more details i could go into but i won't bore you with them other than to say that i don't think i'm in control a lot of times when i'm investing time/money into this hobby.

Kong420, addiction is when you feel your habit is controlling you rather than the other way around and that's the way I feel sometimes. And yeah, I think we males are hardwired to seek as many sex partners as possible.

Pooning is the least complicated way to do that. There is some kind of endorphin thing going on, it's more than just the sex.

Don't get me wrong, it's an expensive hobby, but I wouldn't want to live without it. It's such a rush and usually so much fun!

So much fun that a lot of us will risk just about anything and empty our bank accounts to get our "fix".

Sounds like junkies lining up for the "dealers".

Hookers and hash, those are my vices. Always have been and always will. I've tried everything else and do have an addictive personality, but I have a special dependance on those two things. 8 years old I was the guinea pig and entertainment for older kids and so began my mechanism of defense and preservation with drugs. As for love and sex, she was not my first love, but it was a working girl who first loved me, I will chase that high until I die.

It never actually occurred to me that most of the SP's in this business are probably also addicted to sex! It makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

i have been horny all my life,

actually i just love women
before i was in school i was getting into trouble with girls.
never had any guy friends all my friends were girls.

but i see someone, now for about five years i have been seeing her.
its nice, relaxing, very very comfortable.

If you're getting it for free, like you are.....that's different.
