This is a friendly reminder about the Shift program in Calgary!
Shift provides support, outreach, education, advocacy, referrals, and counseling to individuals involved in, or those who have been involved in, the sex trade. This program is based on a rights-based and harm-reduction framework. You are not required to exit the sex trade to access services.
As the case manager, I work with individuals to identify their own goals, and work with people to meet those goals. These can include goals around budgeting, exiting the sex trade, working safer, obtaining licenses, addictions, managing your health.
Shift creates and distributes bad date reports. We also provide safer sex materials like condoms, lube, dental dams, and gloves for free.
