As we've now moved into 2025 I find myself looking back at 2024 and am wondering if others had similar experiences to me last year.

My total spend on SPs in 2024 was reduced almost by half over 2023, and was the lowest for me since 2020 (which was a low total because well, y'know, pandemic and all that). Part of it was due to personal stuff coming up in life that pulled me away from the "hobby" (for lack of a better word) for a few stretches of time, but part of it too was a sense of it's getting harder and harder to find SPs that are worth the time/money. This isn't a commentary on rates in Vic, but rather more that it feels like as some of the great SPs we've been fortunate to have over the last several years retire or move on, there isn't new girls who are entering the scene to take their place. Or at least that's my sense, but maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places?

In 2024 I also found myself frequenting AMPs much more often. The downside to AMPs though is that generally it's a revolving door of girls, so often you see someone at an AMP, and then go again a month later and that girl's moved on. Similarly I saw a few of Amanda's visiting girls, and while they were generally all fun, in almost every instance about a week later the girl was gone, so no opportunity to repeat. There were only 3 SPs I saw in 2024 that I repeated with, one of which was a visiting girl from Vancouver, another seems to have disappeared from the scene, and the 3rd has been someone I've been seeing fairly regularly since 2020-ish. Even some of my goto SPs in Vic I found myself having difficulty seeing because of challenges getting schedules to align (some always seemed to be out of town or unavailable whenever the opportunity arose for me).

I'm wondering if others had similar experiences in 2024? Are you still finding new great SPs to visit (and if so, where are you finding them?), or do you find yourself just sticking to your usual regulars? I don't want this to be a "the Victoria scene just sucks" rant thread, but rather instead am interested in hearing others experiences about how their habits have changed (if at all) over the last year or so.

If I look to what i've been doing since i'm here on the island, things has progressively increased in activity. Altho, my search and need are more narrowed that what it was before. for example, when I lived in other places, I was going to swingers club and events (they are plenty of them everywhere). But here on the island, I do not believe that there's a lot of these events or even worst... clubs. So I ended up using SP's and AMP's for my needs.

I am a regurlar for some SP's since they are amazing and I want to keep them. But very difficult or skeptical on ''new providers'' or ''visiting providers''. Just don't seem to make the cuts (like you are saying) on my side.

So, I would say that i'm too new here to have an opinion on the service on the island and I'm coming from a different world to compare with other places that I lived. But I am intrigue to know what other opinion we have here

As a previous regular hobbyist and contributor to the board in Victoria, I have been watching the scene for the last 3 months in preparation of my move back to YYJ.

I must say that I am rather concerned with how things have evolved over the past few years. It’s no surprise the focus has shifted to the AMPs given the current state of affairs. I was warned by another respected regular in PMs that PERB Victoria has morphed into an Asian Review Board. Boy was he right. So disheartening. I mean I get it, dudes want ”less buck for their bang”. Who can blame them. Lawyers won’t suck your dick, but they will fuck you for similar compensation.

Detracting from that. My search will begin soon for a regular lady with whom I can connect with given with less regularity. I have always been the type to weed through the garden till I find that thorny rose. Who will it be.

I have always maintained the supply and demand argument, because East of British Columbia. Things are still relatively affordable. You know what they say. What does BC stand for. Not British Columbia. Bring Cash.

I agree totally! my regular provider left the game this past year and I have been visiting AMPs as you have. And, as you stated, when I find one who I really connect with, (which can be hit and miss), she is gone in a month. I have really gotten a strong penchant for Asian women and have found Amanda to be quite reliable when it comes to the ladies she advertises. It seems once she gets a feeling for what kind of person you are she tries her best to accommodate you, (Thank you Amanda!) I would , however like to find my one and only(lol!) who I can build a llasting and reliable relationship with.

My best year was 2019, just before the pandemic hit. It felt like stepping into an exotic Fisherman’s Wharf market, brimming with a wide array of fresh seafood straight from the ocean. I relished a delicious fish every 5 or 6 days, and none of them were from Asia.

By 2024, the Fisherman’s Wharf market had vanished, replaced by a few pretentious restaurants I rarely visited. Instead, I found myself enjoying Chinese restaurants once a week. While the fish may not be as fresh or fancy, it’s still cooked to perfection and served at the same price I paid for the fresh catches back in 2019.

I completely agree with you! I had an amazing time between 2017 and March 2020 as well. The massages I experienced for $130 were incredible, and the escort experiences were truly out of this world, all without the hassle of those nonsensical extras that can cost up to 4 browns. I find that the extras menu really kills the mood; it makes it seem like the providers aren't as good when you decline them.
It’s a shame how things have changed since then.
While some might attribute it to inflation but I respectful disagree and this is why.

I completely agree.and have said so before. Since they started that extra crap I have completely stopped going to the agencies, and girls suggesting “extras available”, a matter of principle for me not to add for example $50 for DFK. And this really is a matter of principle, I am not cheap. I would rather, and also do, spend $9000 on a business ticket to Bangkok (where the girls are legitimately trying to please you and all “Victoria extras” are automatically included in the asked for fee.which also happens to be more than reasonable.

All told 2024 warmed up with the weather and so I am looking forward to 2025. Certainly some people’s prices have increased while others have stayed the same, but I think that just reflects markets and our economy as a whole. I have tended to budget fairly carefully and have stayed with locals where possible and I hope I’ve been able to build up a decent rapport with them. In short Victoria still has a wide and diverse group of creatively kinky people, who keep me grinning from ear to ear.

I think the closing of SVIP was a great loss. I believe that Harvi was the best at selecting and delivering to ladies a realistic understanding of the industry. She created a great environment for providers and customers. Her parties were epic.

Yeah that's an interesting thought, though hard to think about which is cause and effect there. Ie: was the closing of SVIPs (or SU, or Class Choice, or any of the other agencies in Vic that closed a few years ago) the "beginning of the end", or were they casualties of the same economic trends that are also to blame for the changes we've seen in the Vic scene recently? 🤷‍♂️

Ah yes, the good old days alright and not that long ago.. SVIPS was great, but it was a professional whore house meaning girls were prepped in makeup and lingerie. Class choice also, but somewhat more casual. SU (seduction unlimited for newbies) was my favourite by far. Mostly average looking young normal girls but super ready to please like a GF.everything was in, never heard of extras and at the 200-220 range. Every one was different and quite amateur making it even more exciting.

then there was Class Ladies…

I gotta disagree...you can easily get a business class ticket to Bangkok for under $5000;)

Ah the good old days. Charlies Angelz was another gold mine in the pre-SVIP days. Harvie was the gold standard though, IMHO. I've been regular in the Vic scene for most of the last 20 years and for me the high water mark-- in terms of numbers & quality of girls, open minded service and inclusive reasonable rates--- was probably SVIPs circa 2013 - 2019. Pretty much every month Harvie would have 2-3 new girls working, with the majority of the being in the 19-21 age range. They were incredibly well vetted and mentored, and the rates reasonable. Some of them would become established in the industry, and others might only work for a few weeks or months only to disappear from the scene entirely.

People talk about "extras" being a new thing but while the current system is more egregious stuff like BBBJ, CIM, COF etc. have always involved upcharges in Vic. Also Victoria, while possibly the worst for it right now in BC, was by no means the first. Beach Bunnies in Kelowna has had a $100 upcharge for GFE (kissing/daty) for at least the last 10 years. At least at VIPs one could almost always expect kissing and DATY in the base rate. I live for DATY so adapting to having to pay extra for it has been a bummer. My suspicion is that the current rate structures we see in Vic originated in Alberta. Island's Finest, for example, has a parent company in Calgary.

Unlike some it seems 2024 was one of my most active years in a long time. I shared highlights of it here. In terms of overall qualitiy the providers I've met in 2024 have been as great as any previous year IMHO-- though it does seem to have slowed down in the final couple months. What has changed in recent years is that there are less younger women (19-21) getting into this in Vic. Perhaps the availability of options (Onlyfans, sugar dating) is in some part responsible for this, at least as far as Vic goes.

The biggest shift, as many have pointed out, is with the rates. However things are tough all over right now-- all aspects of the cost of living (housing, food, gas) have gone insane in recent years in Canada and only seem to be getting worse. Presently Canada is lower than Alabama (the poorest US state) in terms of purchasing power of the average person. So I guess (sadly) it's not surprising that what was already a luxury hobby has been placed more out of reach for many. I can already tell going in to 2025 that I'm going to have to be more selective and that I probably won't be making it to Vic as often.

Oh wow, I forgot about Charlies Angelz, that takes me back.

Since we're romanticizing the past, anyone else remember Victoria's Eden? Such a sketch location behind Island Farms, but there were some wonderful girls there (Kari @ VE was easily one of my ATF's).

This is what I'm wondering too, has the advent of online services like OF partly (or mostly) drawn the "young college student trying to make ends meet" from the industry. 🤷‍♂️ I go back & forth on this as most girl's I've talked to about OF say you make next to nothing unless you luck out & somehow generate a big following, and these days OF is so over-saturated it's really hard for someone to "stand out" like that.

Thie is an escort review site, and not a travel discussion site. But to clarify, I only fly the super convenient non-stop Air Canada Vancouver -Bangkok (16.5 hrs!) which operates late October to March or so. It has never been less than $8000, usually much more When booking thorugh Air Canada. I am sure other airlines may have better prices, but I go for the convenience and nice sleeper pods on Air Canada.

Oops, I meant it as a joke. Point taken about it being a review site. Thanks for the advice.

Yup I remember VE. They were the first ever agency I visited in Vic. They also had a sister agency called Wild Orchid or something. Met up with a legend named Audrey through that agency-- the first provider to properly blow my mind and to this day probably still the nicest breasts I've ever encountered. Great memories.

I think it's 100% that, at least in Vic. You often see those sorts of girls advertising oline only services on BP and I'm pretty sure that 10+ years ago many of them may have tried their hand at escorting.
