Customs guys get a pretty hefty federal paycheque so they don’t care if they ruin the local economy.
The U.S. public does not get comprehensive news coverage about what is going on. The president has relied upon his celebrity status, and his actual history as a (poor or unethical) business man and his ties to Russia negelected. I studied him when he ran to be the Republican candidate for his first term and couldn’t believe they elected him. Shame on Americans. He spouted about crooked Hilary but he was and is much more crooked. He and his minions keep spreading lies, inaccurate information, and propaganda, with little fact checking by the public. For instance he says we have taken advantage of the U.S. and thus have a trade surplus. We can cure that by cutting off oil and utilities to the U.S. which I am not advocating. They sell their oil for $90 a barrel while buying ours for $65 a barrel, so they actually profit from our oil. Their refineries in the west are set up to refine our heavy oil, and without it, it would cost enormous amounts and years to convert their refineries to refine U.S. oil. Similarly, Venezuelan oil which is even heavier than Alberta oil, would require changes in U.S. refineries which would cost millions and would not be complete until the next decade.
This is absolutely the case.
Watch the traditional evening news from the US and you won't see half of the crazy shit Trump and his administration are doing every day, it's shocking how little the American public know. Not just FOX, the big 3 other networks are just as bad.

I already started dealing with the Chinese on a project that would have normally gone states side. Frankly, it has been a delight working with these guys. Totally on the ball, better pricing and lead times and their QC, so far, is absolutely top drawer. Why go back?

And I'm not saying that we shouldn't expand dealings with Chinese companies, absolutely we should use them as part of a supply chain and sell them our goods. However we seem to forget that there are risks that have nothing to do with business.

Mr. Navarro if you expect Canadians to get any such thing out of the United States for you I'd suggest you advise the president to invoke Nato Article 5. Any number of Nato members I'm sure would be glad to see America rid itself of the Zionists infesting the District of Columbia and most upper levels of US government.
