i hope that you are aware about the potential ban on all combustional engines in the next 5 to 8 years from now...

unless your dream car is dmc delorean that can hover and fly, slap on a tesla engine and go for it.

sorry but just saying 🤷🏻‍♂️
You should do your homework before commenting!

Canada has moved away from a strict 2035 ban on new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle sales, replacing the absolute mandate with stricter fuel efficiency standards and financial incentives. [1, 2]

Current Canadian Policy Context
    • Federal Strategy: The federal government formally proposed moving away from the 100% zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) sales requirement for 2035, opting instead to encourage adoption through a $5,000 EV purchase tax relief and a $1.5 billion EV infrastructure fund. [1, 2]
    • Provincial Shifts: Provinces like Québec have also adjusted their timelines, lowering previous 2035 100% ZEV sales requirements and allowing high-efficiency hybrids and combustion-backed options to remain part of the long-term sales mix.

Global Comparison
    • International Targets: While countries like Norway maintain aggressive phase-out targets (aiming for 2025) and nations like Ethiopia have outright banned fossil-fuel vehicle imports, many major economies—including parts of the European Union and Canada—have adjusted rigid deadlines to protect domestic manufacturing and adjust to practical infrastructure and supply chain realities.

Have of dilemma of buying a project dream car or having 40 dates

Car runs and drives almost mint condition for the year. There’s room for small improvements. nothing crazy or expensive almost perfect to my taste. If I go with this project I’ll have to stop pooning for a year or I can not buy the car and have about 40 - 50 dates at 350$.

Anyone in the same situation!? Hehe
Let's say the average date is $500 per hour. Where the hell did you find a dream car for $20,000?

I’m not 80 yet but I have been on a ventilator so here’s some advice -always go for experiences over things. I’ve had lots of expensive crap and none of it mattered in the long run. It’s just stuff.
Today’s dream car/bike/rolex is tomorrow’s white elephant.

I’m very low maintenance. It’s actually 12k plus whatever maintenance/ improvements I do to it 😆
And no one has the right to question what this fella's dream is.
To add to this, my first real car, bought when I was just going into University was a '63 Impala, in not great shape, but by god that car was a full on dream machine to me. Wish I still had it!

Mine was a 74' Firebird.
Before that was a 64' Ford Galaxy 500.
I would hate to have to feed either beast of a car at today's fuel rates.

My dream on wheels was a certain motorcycle and I have it. Them :))

By the way, back to the zero emissions doomsday. Cars, motorcycles, which have local antique status (collectors, whatever the name after reaching certain years in existence), will be exempt from emissions. Here, and same in Europe.

Dream car, always. Another way to distress and unwind, and you can always sell it to get some money back. Plus you find the odd chick who loves cars.

I can’t comment on owning a dream car but I rented some super cars this year that compared to a significant amount of dates on the OP’s budget example. The 100% guaranteed ridiculous excitement of the cars won me over in this debate. Not to be disrespectful whatsoever but boys and toys is a thing.

You could save a load of money by getting a good racing simulator cockpit and driving your dream car in a quality racing video game. Add in vr goggles for extra immersion if the game allows it. You could also invite your dates over to ride your cock in the cockpit as you drive your dream car. Just imagine your date taking the wheels as she sits on your cock in the cockpit. Get some cockpit rumble effects going for extra pleasure! Rally racing would be a bumpy ride!

I know its not the real thing but it can be close enough for some. This is a pretty boss setup!

Everywhere in BC
$350 x 40 = $14,000

...and you're saying your dream car is 10 year old used sedan?

"Dream Cars" tend to be Bugattis, McLarens, Lambos, and Ferraris.... at $1 to $2 million a pop.....

Also both are considered 'depreciating assets' to begin with... cars and providers... No offense to providers, but consider the fact that there's enough stories on these forums alone about one's ATF girl getting burnt out of this game, or spiraling downward in the lifestyle that future repeat visits would seem too unfeasible to reach that 40th 'date'. Even seeking 40 random dates, it's always going to be hit and miss too, so you're never going to get real value for every dollar you budget out for 40 dates.

Comparing to that 10 yr Sedan, good chance the transmission will fall out just after you leave the lot.... so $14,000 could be $20,000 just to get the vehicle road-worthy to begin with.

So, IMO, I'd go with the providers... or better yet, get into a 'sugar-baby' arrangement and negotiate how far $14,000 take you....
