I feel like now reviews have slowed down by alot. Do you think its more of a finanical thing? People just don't have the funds to do it as often anymore? I guess prices going up too don't help.
So stepping back bigger picture that example could be a reflection of current economic changes.
I have been told by a few SP’s that things in comparison to a few yrs ago have slowed down considerably.
These are accurate. I’ve done my share of contributing reviews to this board over the years, although my pace has slowed down lately for a few reasons.
Part of it is keeping an eye on the economics, and part of it is that the talent pool hasn’t exactly been setting the world on fire. These days, I’m a little more selective about where I spend both my $$$ and my drafting time.
A great review gets posted and some assholes turn it into rants about fake tits vs real tits/ what exactly is gfe/ how accurate are advertised ages/ is she really Japanese or Korean or Chinese. Etc.
If someone has nothing relevant to the actual review they shouldn’t hijack it to make it about themselves.
You can look at a member’s posting history. If all he does is ask for information and rarely or never contributes I put them on ignore. Cuts the static and improves signal quality.
And this is exactly the point. It takes time to put together the details, replay the experience, organize the thoughts and write something that actually gives the next guy some useful intel.
Then along comes Captain Threadjack and his supporting cast, the thread gets hijacked, and before you know it the whole thing is locked without warning. Meanwhile, the SP, the shop and everyone reading the thread lose access to whatever additional intel might have followed.
Sure, you can always start another thread and link back to the old one, but that’s just more work and inevitably breaks up the continuity.
I get DMs pretty much every day asking for intel, recos on who’s worth checking out. I have no problem sharing with people who are genuinely looking for information. The only time I generally don’t respond is when someone comes straight out and asks whether a particular SP provides something that’s specifically excluded from being discussed here.
I don't understand the need of many reviewers and advertisers to keep the rates secret, especially when the average pooner has to be more careful with his disposable income in the current economy.
I think this applies more to Indies than shop SPs, since some Indies often want you to make the first move and reach out to them directly.
Sometimes you find a few good ones and stick to them. With the economy being not that great, it is safer to stick with providers who provide you great service than risking with newer ones and getting disappointed. As such whats the point of writing reviews on the same providers over and over again.
This is pretty accurate. Some guys have their own rotation and are happy to keep working through their list, while others apparently enjoy the never-ending hunt for that elusive unicorn. Different strokes, I suppose.
I’m guessing many if they find a great bang for their buck , might not wanna post in fear the sp will either realize her value,
( or get and inflated sense of her value ) & either raise prices or switch establishments to somewhere w higher pricing.
We’ve seen this happen plenty of times before. Some guys kept the hidden gems close to the vest until the rabbit is out of the hat. Personally, I’m all for sharing useful intel and keeping with the spirit of what this board is supposed to be about, while also supporting the SPs who provide the experiences we’re here to discuss.
- review board - the points about some of the actual shit that gets posted as well as the inane questions where all one has to do is read the fucking post has turned me off to the point where even the ignore button doesn't help so I scan and leave.
And finally, the Ignore button is one of the best features on this board. My personal sin bin has been steadily growing over the years, which is preferable than getting dragged into pointless flame war. Out of sight, out of mind.
I’ve got 2 good buddies on here who are silent observers. They don't post or add any emojis, but they read the reviews and we exchange intel by DM. They’ve told me more than once that there are simply too many idiots roaming the board these days... which I can hardly argue with their assessment.
