Can a genuine connection be real if money is involved?

I think it really depends. If you are strictly saying that the only time you see her is when you have to compensate her for her time, it's a little difficult to say. I've dated an SP before, where there was no money involved. It was more or less a regular relationship. I met her family, friends, and all that. What started out as me being a client for a little bit, we fell in love and feelings came from there.

With another SP before, I think she genuinely liked me. Sure, I'd only really see her during our sessions, but I'd always get extra. I'd get an extra half hour or hour if she didn't have anyone booked after me. In fact, she would send me her daily schedule since she worked for an agency so I could find the best slot to see her for more time before and after. I'd go up early, and we'd fool around before my actual start time. She'd make me dinner and we'd eat together afterwards with her roommate too. She bought me a 500 dollar sweater for my birthday. She let me film for free since I said I wouldn't be able to see her for a month and she wanted me to have something enjoy while I was away. We would text daily and that kind of thing. I think in that case, she really did like me.

I think to answer the question, it really comes down to would she see you at all if she didn't get anything in return. The SP I dated, so many of her clients were in love with her and thought of her as their gf. One guy even FaceTimed her and introduced her to his niece, brother, and mom as his gf. She agreed because whatever. He bought her nice things and it was minimal effort. He genuinely thought there was a connection, but he didn't even know her real age, or anything real about her life. But he still believed he loved her and she loved him and was going take her away from the business and marry her. At the same time, there were so many others like that while we dated. Unfortunately, for a lot of us here, sex is an emotional tool and some girls are very good at making connections with people. Put the two together, and some of us can't help but think there is more there. In some cases, it may be true. In a lot of cases, it really isn't going to be.

Sounds so young and innocent or Empty and lonely.

I don't think she'd do the same if the money wasn't involved.

"Remembering personal details, being playful, and showing up warmly are just some professional traits as a good SP, as you are her regular.

I also think that in every genuine relationship, money has to be included; you need to show that the connection and relationship are more important than money.

Next time, casually joke and ask her for a discount or extra service; see if she is willing to. If she rejects, then you are just a good regular client because you are not more important than money itself, which she cares about most.

I have been there. I only got into this a little bit more than 2 years ago, and then I bumped into my nemesis because I was extremely lonely and empty. I am cold-turkeying, clearing my head, trying to regain some dopamine besides meeting with a SP.

Most of us will return your request for a “discount “ as a complete insult & you’ll be not seeing her again , even if she adores you . Stop talking about her income , that will never get you close to her .

This is a transactional game, a connection because of chemistry is a bonus. Take away $$$ the chemistry will disappear quickly.
Kind of like take away her hotness and the chemistry disappears ever quicker haha

Ladies / Gents ,

I really appreciate the thought provokin comments and feedback. I've learned that both perspectives are valid. But I'm leaning toward the guys being right on this one.

From what I've seen with the ladies, it's situational and I respect that.
But for me, it's not about acronyms or labels. It's about wanting to be in the presence of someone who genuinely wants to be in mine ; not just for the money.
Money isn't the issue; it always comes. With the right companion, she brings out my generous side;, not because I'm trying to buy anything, but because I feel safe enough to give freely, to pre pay dates to get the envelope out of the way

What I'm really looking for is presence and someone who acts with intention is what keeps me a returning customer

Im a person who gives when feel seen

I’ve been seeing someone for just over 2 years now, and while the dynamic started as a professional arrangement, there’s been real warmth, affection, and consistency. She’s remembered personal details, been playful, and shown up warmly ; but the structure is still transactional at its core.

I care about her deeply, but I sometimes wonder: if the money wasn’t there, would she still choose to spend time with me?

I’m not asking to judge her ; I’m genuinely trying to understand if the connection can exist in a container like this, or if the transaction always overshadows what’s real.

Would love to hear from others who’ve been in similar situations
Thnx
Short answer is that yes, of course a connection can exist within this lifestyle. At the end of the day we are only humans, whether money is involved or not. It's also lazy to just tar all sex workers with the same brush that they are all just solely motivated by money.

I am now at 5 providers I've seen that have transitioned out of the professional into personal relationships of varying degrees where money has not been involved. The commonality with all of them is I have never initiated it or intimated that I wanted something outside of the paid relationship. The onus is always on them and not you.

So yeah you'll know when they ask to see you or spend time with you with no money is involved. Until that point then just assume that while you could still be one of her favourite clients, at the end of the day you are still a client.

She very well could like you more than she likes many of her other clients. I have a short list of favourites myself, but regardless of who I like or maybe even dislike..... I treat my clients more or less the same. Im nice, I'm personable & I provide the service paid for. I don't slack on service, because someone might not be my favourite client.
Let's be real here... a job is a job and not every one of them is great. Sometimes people rub you the wrong way or annoy you for no particular reason, and sometimes with reason.

What gets weird fast, or can create an uncomfortable vibe is when clients start asking if we would date them, or hang out with them off the clock.

I may not particularly enjoy someone's company, but I will still put on a performance & Fake it until the times up.

In all honesty I have hung out with some of my clients over the years " off the clock ". A few boat rides here and there & Ive also gone for lunch or dinner with some of them after our " booked" time because we were both hungry & a girls gotta eat!!! These are long term regulars of mine though.

Respect the honesty 👏 SP's are just doing their job - they are paid to like you. The professional ones keep boundaries and maintain a certain service standard because they respect their business.

Some women can really pick up on a man's insecurities, loneliness, and use that to gain access to his wallet. SP's are in a great position to do so given how many men they meet and how intimate they get with them. Just look at OF: you have girls who have thousands of men supporting them, each one thinking they have a "genuine connection"; they can't see the obvious.

Yes this is true. If I were a certain type of woman, I could have easily destroyed so many men over the years, and this is simply because of my ability to read people. I’m not that type of person though.

i’m also not in any way trying to say that real feelings don’t exist, because they . very well do. I’ve cried and more than once over the passing of a dear Client who was my age and got cancer.

I have also dated clients before & and I’m a repeat offender!!! Hell, I almost married One. So as much as we are doing our job, we are also human. We have the human factor, as we’re not robots.

My advice for the ➡ OP would be to NOT ask her if she would spend time with you off the clock. Don’t bring up the conversation about money at all because that’s exactly where things get sticky.. If it’s curiosity that’s driving you, simply ask her if she’s hungry & would like to grab food after your booking. If she goes for it there’s your answer, but best believe you’ll be paying the bill ☺

Time and money aren't the problem; but I've accepted that the container isn't going to evolve

It is not easy to love someone who works in this industry and yes, you need to be very strong emotionally to do so. One of the ways to keep the relationship strong is to reserve certain things just for the two of you. For example, only DFK with him and not with clients. This will help her to differentiate when she is intimate with "him" and helps him to feel safe that is something only reserved for him and not the paying public.
This is why I don't date in this business any more haha. Putting rules on my business ends up with me making less money and struggling harder.

I get regulars because of how easily I connect with people. How much I can care about someone in a short time. I build lasting relationships with my clients. I have always been able to seperate work for my real life lovers. But oh the drama, I've been through makes dating not worth even a second of my time haha

I've read everybody's comments and there's some good advice here and some really bad.

Dont ask her for free time. Dont' ask her for a discount. Both of those are uncomfortable for me and make me nervous. My first thought is great now I probably have to fire a client that i enjoy and like.

I am not interested in dating anybody for free. I treat everybody the same. And I absolutely do have connections with a few favourites and I absolutely am capable of friendships with clients. Let's not change the money part of our reationship tho. Great loyal nice fun clients are my favourite type to keep
